Yo this guy’s so charismatic when he mentioned the diaper bandaid I felt kinda G for a sec because I had to use some to stop my stomach leaking out after it shut down and I tore it from vomiting after getting a intestinal feeding tube placed. I was in a hospital in Miami on the kid’s ward at age 27 because they were testing it out to turn partially into a women’s ward as well and Huggins were the most absorbent thing they had till surgery came by to assess me. Totally different levels but he’s so likable you can’t help but try to relate. Great job with these interviews Death, fr. Much luv to you and yours. ***this dude told no lies! I had to look this up to see how prevalent the ToH’s and broomstick incidents were. www.miamiherald.com/news/special-reports/florida-prisons/article35039946.html

Ya gotta see how this is part of your calling...they feel liberty to talk about the trauma and you create the platform for their story to be heard and there’s a healing that happens when you give them a forem to speak talk about it...there’s healing in that...

Love these videos. Absolutely on-point. After the military and college, I worked at an Ohio prison as a state contractor. The abuse by the COs toward the prisoners was one of the most angering things I've ever experienced. I ended up being put on administrative leave by the state after a year and a half at that job for fighting a CO after witnessing the constant abuse of inmates and told them to shove their job up their fucking asses and knuckle up, because we live in the same city and I'll run into one of you eventually. I still communicate with some of the prisoners that are out now, to this day; they appreciated that someone cared and treated them like humans and not just another number. The only thing separating me from being in the same position that inmates are in is something as small as one bad decision, and I walked in and walked out with that attitude every day. Appreciate the content from both of you, and I'm glad to see you've both turned a negative into one Hell of a positive. 🙏

The staff at Lake Butler really is so heartless. When I went there I had a gun shot wound in my arm. I asked for medical, and the CO made me sweep sun off the sidewalk for his entire shift. Pushing a pushbroom for 8 hours with a gunshot wound in my arm while they laughed at me. It was horrible.

He is so engrossing, I was only originally going to listen to a few bits of part 1 before I went to bed and I ended up listening to the whole damn thing and now this part! And there's a part 3 too?! I don't think I will ever think of the word "broomstick" without wincing uncontrollably. Or the line about feeling air where you don't normally expect to feel air. Oh and the toes thing. Man just sitting here thinkin about... what these pretty much "kids" had to go through... Of how their innocence is just snatched away... Imagine that...your son or little brother gets sent to Prison and has something like this happen to them... Or You take on an extra job in order help send money to them for food and supplies and you send him the money and someone takes it from him and he's left hungry and in bad health... Its fucking so sickening I'm really wondering what the fuck has happened to this World... Someone needs to pay for this both literally and figuratively, there's has to be a better way

Death you should do an interview with the ol Lady of an inmate. Show the family perspective of what we had to go thru in order to make sure our men had everything they needed. Sleeping in our cars, smuggling shit in, how we were treated as if we were Inmates etc. I think it would be cool to see the other side of the coin.

You'd be surprised most inmates if there cleaned they get opportunities. They are out there guys and women just stay clear and eventually a simple recommendation or volunteering will give you the upper hand to erase the past. You gotta start somewhere. Its dosen't matter what you've done it matters how you can change your life around and continue living. There's ways to build in prison. Groups, privileges and or jobs depending on your circumstances.
