I watch to remind myself of the things, people and places I don't want to be and or associated with. I'm free and have been for a long time, making 200,000 a year, great friends, in no way am I associated with anything like this these days, but I always want to remind myself of where I've been, how things used to be and that I never want to go back there again. Never again man, never again.

I’ve got a lot of ohio prison stories. I was in Lebanon and London 2 different bids. Got out, turned my life around and then became a substance abuse counselor and went back to mentor and advocate for offenders to receive adequate mental health and addiction services. I’ve been on both sides and I never looked back. 💪🏻🙏🏻

I'm looking to do just this. Just nervous about it being able to make enough money. I'm a welder still but can we hit me hard a few years ago and it's hard to keep welding. Time for a change. I've beaten addiction all thru the cancer. All the whole watching the ones I fought for to stay , die on me. Now I'm alone survivor with a hell of a story.

I had a BUNCH of peeps in Lebanon back in the day. I have NO IDEA how I managed to stay out. I spent enough time sitting in Montgomery county..I guess I managed to behave myself just barely enough between the times the doors slammed open and shut.. I left Ohio about 20 years ago and been a goody two's since..😅

In 1993 my older brother and I found our dad passed on. He was only 41. They say it was a heart attack but I say it was a broken heart. Mom and dad just divorced my dad was working a job he hated and he didn't get to see my brother and I everyday anymore. I was 13 when this happened and I just fell apart. Growing up in a small town you either played sports, did drugs, farm and rodeo or in a band or all of all them at once. Me I wrestled played football and after my dad died I found a new love to fight. I hated everything and everyone. I didn't have one uncle, cousin or grandpa step up and give me guidance. My father was spit upon by my family for his cultural background so my brother and I were shunned. I started to get into trouble at 15. Juvenile detention and probation. Expelled from school etc. I was lost. My brother and I grew apart as he moved away right out of high school. I had to go to a high school out of town and since I didn't live in that county I was not aloud to play sports so I fought. I wasn't a bully I fought the bullies or their dad's. I didn't care. Pain made me feel alive. Then my mom got remarried to a corrections officer and he was the stepdad we all dread to get. I had to move in with him and he made me pay $200 a month while I was still in high school. My mom never stood up for me. She was in love and all that. I guess what I'm trying to say is we come into this world alone and we go out alone. You can't count on anyone but yourself. Sure love your family. Love your kids etc but in the snap of a finger your life can drastically change. I never went to prison but I did a ton of county time. I'm glad I never went up state. I'm in my 40s now and I still see my dad sometimes driving or in a store. It's just my mind playing tricks on me. Nasty tricks. If you have kids or little brothers etc give them guidance. Prepare them the best you can to take care of themselves. Life is hard. I don't pity myself. I chose to be an asshole and rebel. I'm proud to say I have no more hate in my heart. I've learn to release my aggression in positive ways and I feel I am a good man. Don't ever give up. Especially not on yourself. If you're hurting tell someone don't become a monster.

Wow, man, I'm sorry that you lost your dad when you were that young. I lost mine when I was 35, and it really screwed me and my brother and sister up. He was alive one day, and my brother found him dead the next day. I came home from work just in time to pass the ambulance on the way. He was only 62. One more year, and I'll be that old. Life sure does throw curve balls at us. I'm glad you found your way. God bless.

The Lancaster SCC on BIS Rd. Interesting fact: BIS was Boys Industrial School one of the former names of the prison. Bob Hope and David Allan Coe both spent time there. They used to produce soap at the prison back in the day too. They have some nice landscape and views on the outside and the public road BIS, is used by many people on their daily route in and out of Lancaster so you can see the boot camp etc (if still there) as you pass through. Nicer than many facilities out there, IMO scenery and location wise.

@@aaadamt964 long story short, I was a body piercer starting in 1998 making $80k + a year. In 2000 I broke my ankle, every bone. I had a plate and 8 screws put in one side and 2 screws in the other. I didn’t know what pain pills were or what they could cause. Hell, they gave me 20 lortabs the night I broke it as well as 2 in an envelope since it was 3am when I got out of the hospital. 2 days later I had the surgery and got out the next morning. They gave me 120 Percocet 10mg when I left. I didn’t take the first half a pill until 7 days later just to help me sleep because of the pressure. Being that I lived in Florida, they just gave pain pills away. People flew and drove into Florida just to doctor shop (I didn’t know this for about 2 years) for about 6 months my surgeon from the Mayo Clinic gave me 120 perc 10s a month then sent me to pain management where they gave me more. At about the 2 year mark I realized I had a problem, but I was too much of a b*tch to stop. By 2013 I was shooting heroin. I was homeless living in a tent. One morning (5/26/2015) I woke up just tired of it. I got on a bus that night to Ohio where I only knew a cousin I hadn’t seen in 20 years. Two months after getting here, I met my now wife. She had never done drugs or dealt with anyone who had. I was honest about everything. I’ve been clean since the day I got here (going on 9 years) cold turkey and no groups or rehab. 2 years and 5 days after moving here, we bought our first house. 2019 I got my license back after 17 years and bought a 2008 Silverado the next day. Since 2017, we have been going down to Florida to see my family and friends. In 2019 we were married down there with my best friend marrying us and 2 of my best friends came into town that I’ve been friends with since 1988 and who had to separate themselves from me because of my addiction. I work full time driving forklifts for a fortune 100 company making almost $60K a year and I resell vintage clothing (that is my addiction now) Sorry for the long response, but I tell my story whenever I get a chance because you never know who you are talking to or who will hear it that needs to hear it. Point of the story, you don’t need money to get clean and your life changes pretty quickly when you decide to do the right thing. Thank you for asking. Everyone asks when they find out I moved from Florida to Ohio 😂

Hey there! I am from Ohio as well and have been to prison too. The place that gentleman was referring to is called C.R.C. (Central Reception Center). All men who get sentenced state time (felony) has to go through C.R.C. in Orient, Ohio. That is where they classify and determine which parent institution each sentenced felon will serve their time. They get everything from an F5 which is the lightest felony all the way up to an F1 which is murder and rape. They have 23hr lockdown to minimize interaction between inmates. Anywho....FYI.🤷

This guy can help save lives - for real. We need more men like this to help the boys in the street realize that there is a better way and that life has options. They just don't see the way...

Workhouse - Jackson Pike 😅 My baby dad did time there and about 8 years total (6 & 2) at Lebanon (Cinci) I’ve been downtown the workhouse and Lebanon to visit him….thankfully he has turned his life around now but he missed out on like half our sons lives so far they are 17 & 18 now (I rode with him for the most part but we are not together)

Bro look somewhat familiar but far east Columbus Ohio isn’t no type of real danger that’s where a lot of the wealthy people stay but just the East side of Columbus especially the street E. Main St. I grew up over there too. It’s crazy as hell. It’s definitely a war zone on the regularEast side of Columbus far east is more peaceful which explains his house

I was dieing...i was in a suburb jail on LI in NY. I was in the workers POD and they called it the white house too. We did construction and landscaping outside the jail. Was like summer camp. I brought in 3 pairs of everything NP. Definitely was a help. I was in reception for 6 days...a hell hole.

I just did 10 years in Ohio. Worked my security down to level 1 my last year and they rode me outta Lebanon prison to Lancaster where chill will was at. It's an old prison with a lot of history. Bob hope was they're as a juvenile. That should tell you how old this place is. Back in the day it was called gladiator school. It's full of kids now
