My estate attorney did not explain this and I used a top firm.

Sir I received inheritance from a deceased US national that apparently owed a huge sum of tax. I am an African and The IRS consultants and treasury told me via email to pay 26% of the tax payable by the deceased, but later told me that they will take all my money and I will still owe them the remaining money. Then later they told me to pay them $10,000 from my pockets to receive my CVN code otherwise they will take me to court. Is this all true since the IRS does not have an email address, and where can I get my CVN code from so that I can transfer my money from my online bank account to my local bank account? Can you please give me advice sir? ASAP if possible?

Its confusing, is he saying, in FL power of attorney is not based on physicians certifying incapcitense, its based on agent?

He's saying that in FL you can't execute a power of attorney that only "springs" into effect when you become incapacitated. It goes into effect as soon as you sign it and the agent(s) immediately have the powers spelled out in the document. So, make sure you trust those people.

@@gaslight2024 Oh thank you for making it clear, may be you can get a job at his firm ! The FL POA is dangerous, why would they want such a law? Perhaps Guardianship companies made lot of donations to elected officials to have the law that way 🤔

In your example with the potentially influencing husband, I see a potential conflict in naming that daughter as agent under any circumstances. She can be influenced while the principal is competent and also while the principal is incompetent. Yes making it springing minimizes the risk some, but only in time and not necessarily in significance. I could see counseling the client to choose a different agent entirely and not list the daughter as agent, or at the very least not the primary agent.

@@Rkgardne I honestly don't know anyone I would consider naming as agent, My 2 adult kids are no good at handling their own money. I trust my two sisters but not sure about their husbands🤔🤔
