FSU fan here. They say the Fla QB does not have that strong of arm etc. but boy he gets the job done with completely enough accuracy in my book. Ever since he became the starter. He's very fun to watch. Obviously Mullens a good coach also.

With UF's poor O-line play all year, Gators were forced to rely on a heavy passing attack. Never want to see a player injured, but when Franks went down and Trask took over, it was a blessing in disguise. Trask is more suited at the QB position with the way UF was forced to play this year. We needed a game manager, not someone who likes to take deep shots into triple coverage and refuses to check down if that's what the defense gives you. When UF gets better line play they'll probably make the move back to a more mobile QB. I'd like to see Trask remain the starter next year though. The kid's earned it.

CFP poll is pretty stingy though, but at least I can usually understand their logic with teams who are still competing for conference championsships getting a nudge over Florida, but they do play the 'who do we think is better' game more often than looking at actual wins and losses.

ThatOneGuy _ no they would not have, FSU literally had all of their starters make an NFL roster, only reason Auburn was winning was because the offensive coordinator for Auburn had been at FSU the previous 2 seasons, look it up, its there. After we switched our offense, out scored Auburn 31-10. If anything, FSU would have crushed Bama. You saw what Oklahoma did to Bama. FSU was the most dominant team all year. They destroyed a 11 win Clemson team 51-14. End of story

Trask has been above and beyond expectations. He showed not only upside but better poise than anyone since Tebow, Jones included. I would think Jones will get a lot more looks but he won’t be hoisting the Heisman til his Junior year. It’s good not to waste talent. Shelving Trask makes no sense when he is a great qb.
