It is important the margin by which you win for rankings. Also they did not think they would go for 76 yard touchdown on 3rd and 6 lol.
@faintttt33325 жыл бұрын
In this case it made more sense for Florida to not get the last TD. When it was 3rd and 6 all they needed was a 1st down for 100% win. Kentucky only had one time out so once they get the 1st down it is impossible for Kentucky to win. When the Florida Gators got the TD that only put them up by 8 which is still a one possession game. By getting a TD as opposed to a 1st down the chances went from 100% winning the game to about say 75% because Kentucky now has time to get a TD.
@faintttt33325 жыл бұрын
And also more points does not look better. How many points you score does not play a factor in how you are ranked. How you win matters. A team with more control over the outcome of the game will be more favorably ranked than a team that got lucky and scored a lot of points. By getting the last TD I believe it shows lack of experience (even though they won).

It's no mere coincidence that with Franks in the game, Kentucky outscored Florida 21-10. But with Franks out of the game, Florida outscored Kentucky 19-0. Aside from a piss-poor offensive line, Franks is the main reason the Florida offense can't get out of its own way. So while Trask doesn't have the physical talent of Franks, his brain isn't made of mush like Franks' is. This injury was a blessing in disguise.

Franks may not have been a game changer but he was good enough to get the job done. Poor O line play and Weak D line play is what made this game so close. Franks did everything to lay his body out for his team. We're just fortunate to have a stellar number 2 option in Trask who is potentially more accurate. That's a blessing but your hate on Franks is misguided.

@@PerkPresents This may come as a shock, but a defense that has no confidence in its quarterback to get the job done won't play as well. Remember, the defense was watching Franks in the first quarter when he tossed that idiotic interception during the first drive of the game. But then Trask came in and started hitting the same intermediate throws that Franks was missing all night. And that is why the offensive line looked a bit better as well. Because Trask makes his reads faster than Franks, and gets the ball out quicker. So the pass blockers only have to hold their blocks for a fraction of the time that Franks needs. Face it, Franks sucks. He was only good against high school and community college defenses. Against SEC defenses he was Doug Johnson all over again. Actually, not even as good as Doug Johnson. We desperately needed a change at quarterback.

One thing about Dan Mullen is he never allowed himself or the program to turn their backs against Franks.. rather he’s playing good or bad. However, this is one of them moments where Dan Mullen has to come to the rational decision that Franks should no longer be our starting QB. Franks was struggling all the way up til his injury. Trask comes in and completely take over. The fact that his team was trailing going into the 4th didn’t even bother him! This is the QB that Florida need in order to restore offensive productivity. Franks was so o my god thank god for trask. You could literally see disgust in spurriers face after like his 5th turnover if you watch the Miami game.

God Bless Felipe never wish bad on anybody and hope he has a speedy recovery. But the offense runs waayyyy too slow when he's playing. Looking at the stats will tell you he's playing well. But the QBR and how we were playing with him was atrotious. It wasn't coincidence that we came back quickly with Trask in the game. And with Emory in the wings, we could make a hard push

Y'all better not boo if Trask has 10 turnovers this year. Support Kyle and Emory.

feleipe Franks is one of the most inconsistent quarterbacks and immature quarterbacks ever he has some growing up to do he holds the ball too long and he does not make the place that need be made. It's simple that the back of quarterback is obviously more talented as much as I hate to admit it butt we all know if it weren't for the back of quarterback stepping in and making plays Franks would have cost us the game. I'm not gossiping I'm stating facts here.

Support any athlete that plays for your team, no matter how successful or not they are. These kids play their hearts out for our entertainment. Some people take this way too seriously.

Stoops should give back his bonus, he got outcoached at the end. Couldn't make a defensive adjustment. UK started to play to not lose instead of playing. Why run Rose on 4th and 1 when Smoke was the man in the backfield? KY should be 3-0.

I hate that franks went out the way he did but gator nation knew that he wasn’t the answer that back up came in so smooth in the 4th quarter like had been the starter for the last 3 years we might have a chance to win out this year

Hate that Franks got hurt but I always thought he was overrated... I think Sawyer may star at UK next year as starting QB... Terry just doesn't have the arm we need
@tyleryuen92145 жыл бұрын
When you claim to be the best team in Florida but you only won against an unranked team bc their freshmen kicker missed a 25 yard fg...not to mention a back qb and their best players went to the nfl

Big Money Don't act like 2 Kentucky players were kicked out for targeting. You can't blame the refs on your sloppy games.
@user-jm4qf6ul5e5 жыл бұрын
@@vuest3699 The targeting call that gave Florida their game winning drive was absolutely bullshit and if the refs never make that horrid call, Kentucky wins. As a Louisiana Sports fan, I know all about referees giving games to the opposing teams... MULTIPLE times even in games. It's sad honestly.
