Hi you guys! So glad you made it back into your “little house on wheels”, and are back rving! Missed the two of you in your Navion, exploring new, fun places to visit, although, you KNOW I loved the Italy tour, and am ready for our Greek islands cruise this fall. In the meantime, we are readying our “Lucy” for her longest trip to-date, and can’t WAIT to really travel again. Thanks again for making my evenings so enjoyable by watching your terrific videos. It’s so evident in the quality, that your heart and soul are truly into producing the best. Can’t wait for next week. Stay safe, but most of all, have fun! Love you always, Virginia

The TABLE 😞😞. Sorry to see the Honda go. Food looked awesome for sure. Scout is really well trained now, she was great at the show. Really paid off. Those E bikes are nice. I’ve been looking as some too. Seems like a good idea for the road because we don’t want to tow a toad. ✌🏼

@@NewstateNomads My tour starts in the Lake Como region, then heads south through Milan, Venice, Florence, Assisi, Sorrento/Capri, Pompei and ends in Rome. After watching your vids, I'm also going to add Cinque Terre! Currently planning on a Rhine cruise/Swiss tour during May, followed by a food/wine tour of Portugal in October. Finally, heading back to Colorado/Utah again next autumn (2023) for a great 3 week tour with my retired buddies!

So glad you don't have to worry about Scout taking off anymore. 💖 How long did you have to wait to get the IG photo at Cadillac Ranch without other people in it? It was nice of Ruby's to give you a giant basket type thingy for the food instead of a whimpy tray. 👍 Can't wait to see the improvements and winter testing. ❄❄ We're still getting the white crap in western NY this weekend. 😕 -Troy & Aimee

Good job on Scout. We took on a foster dog this last month that reminds me of Scout but she is brown. There is a Rudy's here in Norman OK too.
@NewstateNomads2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much Eric! Her skills are amazing and it's definitely peace of mind knowing she is under voice command now and won't run away. Oh that's awesome. What's her name? We loved Rudy's! Didn't know until we had stopped that they are a chain.

We also got Lectric bikes and wondering what bike rack did you get to carry these ? Also how do you secure your bikes when you venture out?
@NewstateNomads2 жыл бұрын
James, we went with the Thule EasyFold which is certainly not the cheapest but had lots of built-in features (including locks). One key locks each bike to the rack and secures the hitch lock. It also tilts forward and includes a RAMP which we didn't find on any other rack. Makes loading much easier, particularly if it is just one of us. We also have a thick cable lock (and take the batteries out when not in use). Nothing will absolutely stop a thief, but you can at least make it a detergent for a quick theft. -Howard amzn.to/3IL1iJI

We are beginning to take longer trips pre-retirement, and wonder about a toad versus e-bikes. One reason for getting a View was to hopefully avoid a toad. Do you mind to share your thoughts or maybe a quick episode on a toad versus e-bikes? Great video! Thank you all!
@NewstateNomads2 жыл бұрын
Hi Tim!! There are pros and cons to both. But the View is definitely a perfect size to get around without needing a toad. It honestly depends on your style of travel. Will you be staying in campgrounds close to town (therefore can bike in) or do you plan to boondock in nature a bit further outside of town? It really comes down to style and personal preference. Hope this helps a little! That is a great idea for a video!! Maybe we'll do that coming up! Thanks so much ☺️

Ugh on the goats heads stickers. I have been pulling them out of Sierra’s paws for the last few days. 😢. We are currently driving a similar route of your first few states - did FL to TX. Left TX today & are in NM now. Impressed with Scout! I need to send our dog there…
@NewstateNomads2 жыл бұрын
They are terrible, aren't they!? Piper seems to be a magnet for them. She always gets the most stuck in her paws somehow. And they get tracked into the RV and then we step on them haha ouch! Scout's skills are amazing and we would highly recommend her trainer! If you ever want her info, let us know 😂 Enjoy New Mexico!!!

Helllooooo from Ouray CO! Whew…you got here in the nick of time by saving a $1 per gallon! We did a board and train for our German shepherd too; he lives a really grand life now as he is only on a leash maybe 5% of the time. Will you be coming to the southwest part of the state on this tour?
