Wow.....I know it takes tons of skill, but this one seemed like some crazy good luck was present as well with that crossing maneuver of the patrol cars after contact. Whatever it was, you both did a fantastic job getting more trash off the streets. Florida should be more aggressive going after criminals in this state as citizens don't come close to feeling safe anymore. And when you catch them, crooked lawyers and judges simply let them out time after time. You could have flipped the car and killed people what most police departments would have done is waited backed off. They have plates. They know who's in the car. Just catch them at their house later. My mom was taking me to a Dr appointment back in January (I can't drive due to vision) and an old guy hit us similar to this. If we had been speeding event the slightest, we would have flipped. The officers told us this and even said he hit us like a pit maneuver. We are still having issues from the wreck. The guy was old, started changing lanes on us and didn't hear my mom blasting the horn at him, didn't see us until we were IN FRONT OF HIM SIDEWAYS. His car was from '94 and is super tiny, only had some scratches and a broken mirror while our car had severe damage. We were in a large SUV.

even if the suspect has his hands up, it`s good to tell him to kee his hands up as in "this is all you`re supposed to do''. i've seen a few videos where suspects initially did put their hands up but after that, they would reach for their glove box or change the gear or something. & u never know, maybe they're reaching for a gun. no, just keep ur hands up. that is all you're supossed to do. after that, his car still moved so they had to tell him to put it to park. but even that`s risky. you never know what the suspect would reach for.

There is NO reason why cops should ever utilize the PIT Maneuver since there now is the GRAPPLER. Arizona utilizes it with remarkable results and much less danger to other cars as well as the police vehicle. Watch it demonstrated on KZbin, it's incredible.
