Thank you for the memory lane.. When I was 13, my Mom and step-dad wanted to move down to Florida from Ohio... He went down 1st, secured a job and house and a couple months later we went....I didn't have the best experience in the water, lol. My brother and I, me being 13, him being 12, thought we would get a boogie board and go head out with the cluster of surfers.. Yeah, we didn't realize as we were paddling out, we were being pulled opposite and way out, deeper.. we were young, inexperienced.. And we are in-landers lol. We were talking and just not paying 100% attention to the fact we were being pulled away, we thought it was just a long swim there. Next thing we realized, the surfers were way, wayyyy away from us and we looked towards the beach and the people looked like dots.. We both put our arms and upper body on the board and kicked in tandem to try to get back to our parents, but, the ocean had different plans.. We were being pulled so far, we were behind the waves, where there weren't anymore.. Our mom and step-dad were trying to swim to us and the bodyguard happened to see us thru his binoculars and called in a rescue boat. After that, I never wanted to go back in.. but my mom, Step-dad and their friends reassured me it would be safe to stand by them.. 😭 how is it I am standing in water that's to my knees and I look behind me at the beach and I turned air and Was NOT standing next to them and was s in chest high water???? I started freaking out and there were kids on boogie boards by me and I asked a boy to help me and set that moment a wave was coming over us and I Promise there was a whales tail that smacked when the wave crashed.. That was the last thing I remembered and then being pulled onto the beach.. my mom said she looked over and saw me pass out And was drowning....mind you, we were taught to swim as toddlers and swam avidly in pools, lakes, creeks and the OHIO RIVER! Is not like I didn't know how to, it was fear that took over me and the ocean is more powerful than we knew. But, I am thankful for your footage of the very beach I very first stepped foot on.. and have good memories of building sandcastles 🏰 🐬 and other things in the sand ❤ Thank you!!!!

Is the water always down like that? I’m going there after watching this video but would love to walk where you were walking (at the beginning of the video) but not sure if the water level is that low during morning time.
