Fuel Filter Replacement - NCV3 Sprinter (2007-2015)

In this video, Mike shows you how to replace the fuel filter on your NCV3 Sprinter! If you have a 2007-2015 Sprinter with the big V6 and haven't done this procedure yet, it's time to. Neglecting the fuel filter can eventually lead to limp mode problems and down the line, injector problems!

The NCV3's are great, it's the emissions bollocks that's fitted to them that causes the problems.

The white clips are supposed to be pushed in. it spreads the clips and the hose pulls up and out. Mine was old and brittle and it still came out fine, just had to be super careful. I've yet to see someone not brake these hoses haha.

Yes, I've since found an understanding of these backwards working clips. Push them 'on' to release and pull the clip 'out' to lock it. Totally illogical!

@@FloridaVanMan ikr, it cant be that hard to just manufacture these clips with an arrow or something. the injector fuel return line clips were a bit confusing as well.

That is part of the fuel line, replace entire hose or use zip ties for now.

Can you please tell me the name or model of the hose and clip that goes on top of the sensor , I broke mine and can’t find it 😔

The little hose from the center valve? I don't know the part number but it really is not needed. It is not even used unless you have water in your fuel filter. Then any hose will do the job. I understand trying to get everything like new, but these are not museum pieces or collectable muscle cars (yet).

Took my 2007 to a half assed mechanic for a full service this weekend. Don't know what I was thinking as it was parked for almost a year with only 2000 miles since last service .. couldn't be bother so went for uneeded full service (wish I didn't). The half assed mechanic broke the clip (one ear) as per this video. Now there is a little leak. I read on sprinter forum that u can use zip tie or replace the entire thing with a plug..I attempted to remove the pipe and assess the damage so I broke the second ear of the clip.. Can u please help and show me to zip tie it :)
