Newer Otis Series 1 Traction Elevators at The Dayton House Resort, Suites Tower, Myrtle Beach, SC

These are located in the Newest and Tallest Tower of the Dayton House, built in the Late 90s or Early 2000s, at 16 floors. This tower was also most recently renovated too. The elevators remain as is however, and hopefully they continue to, as these aren't that old, although all of the other elevators here are much older than these but they run just fine and hopefully they don't get modded ever either!!!
This video starts out showing the parking elevator, which is broken for some reason, but these main elevators were working, and doing so flawlessly!! The cabs are basic, but this is typical for Myrtle Beach. The chimes no longer work, but these do run just fine!!! They are still nonetheless filled with character and have some strangeness to them even though they're the newest in the hotel! On the top floor, the external indicator for the right elevator is STICKING OUT of the wall and is unusually low making it obvious they didn't know where to put in as there isn't much room between the elevator doors and the wall. Also, notice how both elevators have HUGE AIR CONDITIONER Units in them!!!! LOL!!! I've NEVER seen that before!!! Overall, a basic looking albeit still interesting elevator system!!! Not much else to say about this one.

Mr. Thomas was the first to buy these elevators. A lot of Otis Elevators were sold because of them.
