Florists Without Borders

Pretty strange and left-field one here from Reporters Without Borders. Subtitles are available.
It shows florists basically being beaten, dragged away, shot in the head while walking past, tortured and the last woman is drowned with her head in a bucket. Pretty brutal stuff. I just wonder what made them choose florists as the profession of choice to brutalise in this advert?...

I think they chose florists because it’s such a standard and tame profession, one that’s associated with being cutesy and chill. If you hear that someone sells flowers for a living, you think of them as automatically sweet and trustworthy, because they sell something that’s grown in a garden and that is associated with special occasions and strong emotions. Everyone loves flowers, so everyone loves florists by association. A florist is someone who you can tell anything to. They’ll sell you a present for your mom, something to bail you out if you forgot your wedding anniversary, a token of respect for someone you loved and lost, a cool thing to show off, something pretty for your graduation day, whatever. I mean, how can you be mean to someone whose job it is to sell colorful things that smell nice and are associated with many passionate feelings?
