I live in Alaska and I am mourning the loss of our long days. All the sunlight makes it so easy to stay up too late. I stitched with you from my living room in a suburb of Sacramento, California where the temperature today is 106. I spent my stitching time applying a binding to a Queen-size quilt. I got only a quarter of the way done...it’s a mighty heavy project on my lap on this hot day. I’m thankful for good air conditioning and a powerful ceiling fan.

I'm in Knoxville, Tennessee near Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains. I watched today just relaxing and stamping some cards in my craft room. I usually watch in my stitchy a chair where I am currently stitching on a Mill Hill kit called Queen. It is the queen of hearts playing card designed by Jim Shore. Poor thing has been in progress for several years. It was even the travel project the year we were in Greensburg, Pennsylvania for the commencement at Seton Hill University and met up with some of the local wildlife on the PA Turnpike and totaled our car. This is the first time I have stitched this piece since then and I am determined to complete it. I enjoy your flosstube and wish I had such a good stitchy friend as you have in each other. So marvelous and blessed.

Hi...Jan B here. Yes I am usually knitting but decided to pick up my cross stitch after almost 40 years absent. I'm up in Winnipeg, MB Canada. Boy did I miss out on so much stuff these last few decades. I just got proper needles, such a game changer. We didn't have these sizes back in the day. No more bleeding finger tips. I'm working on some smalls but found a lovely free sunflower pattern to work on for my sister's 70th birthday. I expect I will see tears. I havn't had to buy much as I inherited my Mom's threads and Aida cloth blended with mine, it's not a bad startup. I find I can stitch in hand now, much more comfortable for arthritic hands.Just working on my tension now. Love your flosstube and the tips and tricks are so cool. I just subscribed today after watching so many back videos. Funny I thought I already was subscribed as yours show up in my feed all the time.

I was stitching A Walk in the Woods from The Cricket Collection. And I’m watching from Swansea MA. Travelled a good hour or so to visit my first LNS in Littleton MA this week. My husband was afraid I was going to pass out I was so excited! Came home with a huge stash of floss and of course some linen and new patterns. I also lucked out by getting on board for Coming to America!! She said she had one left!! Woo-hoo!!

Hi Liz and Deb, it was lovely to stitch with you today on "Hold Fast" by Hello from Liz Matthews. I'm on the border so chasing a finish. It is an anchor and appropriate in these times and because I am in a rainy UK where I live on a small island off the coast of Essex which you reach via a causeway which floods twice a day every two weeks, we are famous for oysters which the Romans brought here and they built the temple to Claudius, now a castle, which was attacked by the famous Boudica who was leader of the Iceni Tribe. We have homes in our village which were mentioned in the Doomsday book and Sabine Baring-Gould who wrote Onward Christian Soldiers was vicar here in the 1800s which leads me on to say I, too, enjoyed singing "I love to go a-wandering along the mountain tracks" when I was young and love that it unites us across the seas! I enjoyed stitching with you tonight, listening, and learning about the magnifier clip-ons. My project is Patchwork Owls by Jardin Prive. I was working on the border, and had to frog it at least five times to get it all to hook up. I'm glad that is done. I live in Grayslake, IL, a northern suburb of Chicago, and am between Black Cat Stitchery (40 min) and Welcome Stitchery (60 min). I returned to cross stitching after 20+ years, and really enjoy having Flosstube friends. Thank you.

I'm older but when me and my best friend got home from school we'd watch Dark Shadows. We took turns at one another's houses. My Mom always gave orders now don't let your brother watch it. He would go to bed with a ball bat if he did that night. 😀😂😂😂 Our schools have had a hard time deciding what schedule they are using. Next week they suppose to put it all together. Hi girls. While listening to you on my porch in Maine, I was stitching a little hedgehog that I am going to gift our youngest granddaughter next month as part of her birthday. She has a real pet hedgehog named Oreo and loves her to pieces. I had to chuckle a times, once when you were talking about Alaska and Liz mentioned sitting under a light here in Maine because we have alot of dark here, then again when she started singing that song. I was never in Girl Scouts but do remember that song and was humming away while stitching. We have terribly short days during the winter months, so hubby and I both take Vitamin D3 supplement. It is depressing to see the long summer days coming to an end; but I won't miss the high heat and humidity we have been dealing with this year at all. I do miss camping so much. Hubby is disabled now, so we ended up selling the camper. I cried, but life goes on and am grateful for the memories. Thanks for keeping me company. Stay well.
