After my daughter died, I didn’t think I’d ever get the creative bug back so gave away almost all my floss and many of my patterns. I’m happy to say that watching your tutorials has given me a desire to finish several projects (UFOS) and, having kept DMC red, I’ll look for a designer to stitch!

I have never crossed stitch. It’s on my “to do” list. I did buy a Lori Holt card from FQS in hopes of teaching myself. FQS is going to be offering a series of how to videos that I am eagerly looking forward to. I hope I can learn to cross stitch and enjoy it. Thank you for showing me how to wind floss. There is so much I have to learned. I really love the look. I have an embroidery piece that my grandmother did and I treasure. This piece is over a 100 years old. Thank you for these videos from a non stitcher.

I sew and quilt. And then my husband was diagnosed with metastasized lung, kidney and bone cancer. I wanted to avoid all that time in my sewing room and sit with him when he's feeling not feeling chipper. I happened upon Lori's FLOSS tube channel (because I watch all her videos) and thought, "I could do that... I'd love to do that... And it's something I can do while we sit together during the day or evening. I love seeing all the wips, finishes and new products (that we all purchase). I even fill out the library cards for my stitches. I've been stitching since May 2021,which is not long, but there are a lot of Dr. visits and waiting and I fill the time with my new "passion". That means I've finished quite a few. I began with Lori's stitch cards. They've been a big help and I've been making them into bowl pillows. Friends have helped teach me and all the Floss tubers have contributed and I follow Lori and watch every Kimberly Jolly Floss Tube. I'm now teaching my daughter and granddaughter and they watched this episode with me. Thank you Lori and all the Floss tubers for giving me a new hobby and helping me spend even more time with hubby during this journey.

Hello! I used to stitch years ago, but stopped when being a Mommy took up all of my time. Then recently, in a 3 month stretch, I lost my Father, my Father-in-Law, and COVID hit. A very dear friend suggested that I go back to stitching as a therapy to reduce stress. I can't thank her enough, as I honestly think it saved my sanity. Now I'm crazy in a different way...cross stitch crazy! That dear friend has since purchased the LNS Welcome Stitchery from Clear Lake, IL and moved it to Blue Earth, MN. I help her at the store whenever I can, and it is so much fun! I owe her a debt of gratitude! It is wonderful to have all of that floss, fabric, patterns, etc. available to me at a moments notice!

Have been enjoying your flosstube videos, thank you! After watching you do a finishing video I got inspiration and FINALLY finished 2 projects that have been sitting around for about 25 years. I started the project, my Mom wanted to work on them and did 3/4th's of them before her cataracts and macular degeneration prevented her from completing them. My then 23 year old daughter decided to finish the project after my Mom passed away. The cost of finishing both pieces was a little out of my price range so they just sat on a closet shelf. I did another project that I practiced lacing on and was very happy with the results. I am so excited to say I have I now have these two beautiful pieces done and hanging on my wall to enjoy. I have intentions of giving them to my daughter because of her love of her Grandmother. So you are the reason this all was possible, thank you! I am 73 years old and realize I now need about 100 more years to finish all of my handwork projects too! Would love to win your giveaway so FLOSS has been submitted.

Great job.

We love all you do for the cross stitch community . I wanted to tell you that in 1952 my mom was making granny Squares for a quilt. She could make Anything . She would get her crochet hook out and begin to construct doll clothes table runners , covers for the arms on our chairs. Sadly she passed away before the afghan was done. You are blessed and so lucky to be able to get to do what you love each and every day! I’m a teacher and had a project in my classroom that I occasionally work on, two of my special education students had asked if I would teach them to work with the floss. One of the girls does it all of the time now and the other works her floss on the weekends! When they graduated last school year they presented me with the most beautiful piece that’s they had worked on together! Was beautiful! Thank you for encouraging everyone to what they love!
