i realize why i enjoy watching you - you don't stitch what everyone else is stitching! I want to thank you for holding up your projects long enough that i can get a really good look at them! i had never heard of sara guermani and i now i want to stitch one of her charts - the Christmas village putting on the Nativity had my eye -it's called "we wish you a merry Christmas" and it's a big one - 354x190! Is it safe to assume that the catherine theron chart for the irish blessing was a class exclusive? my heritage is irish and i'm looking for the perfect sampler! happy new year! terri

Thank You Terri!! I am always watching Flosstube when I am stitching and I place my needle and then look up and I miss what they showed!!! LOL So I am glad I am holding them up long enough :) I so love Sara Guermani designs. That Christmas village one is on my wishlist as well!! I believe Irish Blessings is a class exclusive piece, but she has published some of her designs under "Theron Traditions", so you could always look for it :)

Thanks for reminding me of the DMC variegated threads....not only are they pretty....but it's an affordable way to get the hand dyed effect. The afghan is gorgeous!!! I'm just wondering how the back is protected when finished? Is there a special way to finish off the threads? Also.....what is that little pillow over your right shoulder....looks like skaters on a pond? I've been meaning to stich ONE Praiseworthy Stitches for awhile now....looks like you talked me into Joy To The World! 🙂 I truly enjoy your flosstubes.... a variety of designs and so much prgress on each piece! Beautiful! 🙂

I love those DMC variegated threads! The back of the afghan is not finished specially, I just try to be careful with hiding my threads on the back. On the edge you sew a seam several inches in from the edge and then pull all the horizontal threads to create a fringe :) That little pillow with skaters on it is "Let It Snow" by Stitchrovia :) It turned out so cute :) Yay!! Joy To the World is gorgeous!! Good choice :)

Thank You Barbara!!! I do love it so much, I am glad it comes through :) Yes, I pull out some graph paper and draw a square on it that is the same size as the space for the title on the book. Then I sketch the words and erase and edit until it fits nicely. Then I stitch :)

Enjoy your long floss tube. Not feeling well today and appreciate the WIP parade. Totally agree with your Soap box. There is so much negativity in the world why do people make negative comments.. It isn't anyone's business on the amount of projects a person has, that's between you and your husband. I enjoy seeing everything and want to stitch it all. It's neat to see the types/color of fabric and floss changes and the world of charts. I don't have a local shop and can only purchase online. I have only been stitching since August 2023 and I am nearly 58 years old....loving it. I always wanted to learn how to cross stitch. I asked how many projects you have only to follow your rotation progress on certain charts.

@Handworkmaniac7 ай бұрын
Thank You Connie!! I have used Silks4U on 40ct and 46ct and it is gorgeous. My "The New Normal" piece was Sulky 12 wt on 40 ct and I thought it looked great. Some people think it is too crowded on 40ct. Also, mine was on 40ct Antique White, so it was a true 40ct. Usually the fabric shrinks a little if it is overdyed and would make it closer to an actual 43-44ct. Which probably would be too small for Sulky 12wt.

Hi Brenda - I would very much like to know which Dinky Dyes threads you used for the water in Serenity Harbor. It's my New Year, New Beast start this year (once I get the right count & size of fabric!! I've ordered it 3 times now). I do love the water "puddles" you stitched. Also, Stitch New England shop had the full 12 pattern kit for Serenity Harbor if anyone is looking for it :)

Hi Melanie!!! Most of the water in mine is stitched with Dinky Dyes "Gum Leaves", and the darker parts around the edge are stitched in Dinky Dyes "ocean pines". Yay!! So excited you get to start it, and thanks for the tip on where people can buy it!!!

I did chuckle in awe when you brought out the 2nd Jim Shore afgan! Oh my! I’m still working on the Stitchers Shelf you inspired me to start almost 4 years ago! Do I dare to start an afgan? I’ll be watching your progress!! I could alternate on my Friday full coverage day?! Love, love all you do! 💕

Hi Susan!!! My husband does remind me regularly that I am crazy, lol!!! Sure, alternating on Fridays sounds totally reasonable to me! LOL

You have so many gorgeous wips ! That first Christmas afghan you showed was amazing. And I love the book one with Russian titles that you had translated into English. I was gifted the pattern but haven’t started it yet I may just have to start it this year after seeing yours. Happy New Year!

Hi Tracy! There were many years where I worked on only one or two projects at a time until they were finished and I thoroughly enjoyed it. For some reason, right now I enjoy working on a variety of projects a little at a time. You should just do what makes you happy and brings you joy :)
