I noticed the wider margin on your Christmas piece too and thought, wow, that’s so refreshing. The extra space really lets the stitched border breathe (imho). Hope you’re liking it even more by now! Thanks for sharing☺

It was so good to see you again! I have missed you for the last month! You are by far one of my favorite floss tubers because you are so down to earth and don’t flaunt the many, many purchases that others do! I don’t know how you get everything accomplished like you do! Olivia, first: please stop apologizing for not having quilting to show us. You, dear lovely lady, are super! You're a wife, a mother, a homemaker and you work. I'm simply amazed at all you accomplish in between these Floss Tubes😍😍😍! How do you do it??!! You are an inspiration to many of us, who like you, have home obligations and work. Now the fun: I love all your finishes. I am working on Jack's Bash on 36 count Grandma's Slip! However my called for threads seem to be more grey/brown and yours looks more peachy. I guess it's the tv and / or the hand died flosses that we know vary. I love your Let Heaven and Nature Sing. I'm working on this as well but I started on the upper left and might rip out and start in the middle with the reindeer. Love the "JOY" on the mailbox. Your WIP's are coming along nicely. Congratulations on your son's high school graduation! You have had quite a bit going on this month. Take a deep breath, don't stress. We are all here with you and I know I always look forward to your Floss Tubes! Olivia, do you stitch in hand or use a hoop?

July 13th set on my phone. ✅I’m like you (multi-hobbies) I’m a quilter wayyy before I got back into cross stitching and at this moment I have more quilting wips/finishes and UFO’s then I do cross stitch. I was actually on the fence about starting my own flosstube\ quilting but only have a handful of FFO’s and wips. We’ll see. 😊

Just adore your style friend!! I have Jack's Bash and First Winds of Autumn on my "to do list." I work full-time+ and it is so hard to find time to stitch so it takes me a LONG time to get anything done. However, retirement is quickly approaching in 2028 so when I reach it, I'll have a list to tackle---that is for sure LOL. Hi Olivia, I am back to cross stitching after many years. I use to stitch in the 80's and 90's. I have also taught myself to quilt and I am loving it. I really enjoy your floss tubes. I do have a question though about finishes. So you take your finished piece to Hobby Lobby they measure and make a frame for it, and you put your project in the frame? I didn't know you could do that. I thought you had to let them finish the whole thing. That would be great. Love all the new finishes, and new cross stitch charts, I just need more hands to stitch. lol.... Thank you!

My husband bought it years ago, the artist is Guillaume Azoulay and I think its called Monarque...at least that's what Google says ;)

Your work on Sarah is so pretty. It looks like the pattern design isn't going to fit the fabric you are working on, so there must be a personalization coming. I think making it less ambitious will make it better. The work you have done is nice so finish it. I'm a quilter so I have not experience with cross-stitch but I love to see the work of others.

I tried samplers before but it bores me so much to stitch basically every motif two times. I liked the patterns where both sides are kinda unique and have different elements but there aren’t that many 😢

Question I see you do not lace your project before taking it to find a frame, then lace when you get the frame home. Why do you not lace before going to find a frame? Love all of your cross stitch pieces Thank you for sharing

I guess I don't like to put the cart before the horse...so to speak. If I lace it ahead of time, I run the risk of the frame being the wrong size and it's much easier to have all the elements of my project together at the same time, than try and fix the laced piece.
