"Brute force and Ignorance!" Someone needs to chart that! The phrase, "It takes a village" is often mocked. But I had tears watching all those people your daughter Charlotte has touched, and who have supported her along the way. Lovely village!

Hi Sarah, how are you? Your stitching is beautiful. 👏🌟👏🌟👏 In the video when you were saying how you were going to turn your son room into a "craft room", you mentioned it was because he wouldn't be coming home all the time. While that is upsetting because you won't get to see him as much as you want to, I think it means you did your job well. For that I applaud you. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 You taught him how to "fly" on his own, and he is showing you he can do it. Well Done. Happy Stitching. ❤❤❤

Hello my lovely, Yes, there has been much blubbing this past few weeks. All endings and new beginnings and it’s a little bittersweet, but ultimately good. Our trip for the graduation was perfect. I think you would have enjoyed seeing Durham, the small city Andrew went to university in. He was able to graduate from the medieval cathedral and have a champagne reception at the castle. All very lovely.

What a lovely tribute for Charlotte by the school. I hope she will settle into her new school in September. Congratulations to your son on his graduation & I hope he is enjoying his new job. Safe travels this week. Love all your stitching as always. I love the idea of the winter start for the Barbara Anna girls with Jackie & yourself. Her meditation is so calming. I loved watching Sally @flossysewsandgrows stitching hers so that'll be something to look forward to. It'll be my first Barbara Anna. I've just started 324 by Works by ABC after spending a couple of days finally sorting out all my DMC's. I'm still missing two threads but that's not bad 😂😂😂 It's actually an easy stitch & I'm just pulling 18 colours at a time to do so it doesn't feel overwhelming. Take care, best wishes from 🇮🇪

I’m impressed that you just had two missing threads from the 324! I like your idea of only pulling a selection at a time. Good for sanity that. Thanks for your wishes for Charlotte, we are relieved it has been sorted. Andrew starts his job in August so he’s got a bit of time to get his life organised and fulfil a few trombone playing commitments before then. Blessings to you for the month ahead.😘

We enjoyed watching Charlotte's end of school session and hope she copes well with the new school as you've tried so hard to find the right one for her and well done as so few places are available. Andrew's Graduation will be another memorable day so enjoy every moment. So good you know his near future is settled and where he'll be working 😊. I've injured a finger on my right hand so I've to wear a splint for several weeks so struggling to stitch as I'd my Vertigo-type problem all last week and couldn't concentrate. I'm having to be a monogamous stitcher as I'd only just begun a 50th WA Sampler and it's proving difficult despite looking simple! Lots of backstitching to cover lack of half stitches as I'm doing it for once on the Aida in the kit - which is as well as I can more easily work with my left hand. Thus plans and finishes have taken a back seat. Definitely not adding to the Starts/WIPs but will one day finish this to be framed.😊
@sewmesarah6 ай бұрын
I’m so sorry you’ve injured your finger Jean. That must be really frustrating for you. You’re doing well to stitch with your left hand. Not sure I could, though desperation might persuade me if I were in your shoes. We are relieved to have a place at a good learning support class for Charlotte. I never know if we’re making the right choices but I do hope so. Andrew’s graduation was a wonderful day and I’m so glad that we got to share it with him. Next week he moves to Malvern to settle into his house share and he has a couple of weeks to explore the area before he starts work at the beginning of August. Big changes!

Hi Sarah! I’m a first time viewer from Maryland in the USA. I’ve heard Pam and Steph mention you several times, so when I saw a Flosstube pop up today, I thought I’d give it a try. Immediately upon its conclusion I subscribed! I was so touched for the outpouring of love for Charlotte, and hope she is welcomed into her new school with the same. I love all of your stitching projects and have written down a couple to get for myself…Stitch All the Things Quaker is a must, and I saw the Comfort Stitcher’s announcement about the Barbara Anna Seasons and was on the fence, but I think you’ve pushed me over! You have such a pleasant manner, and obvious good taste, so I’m off to watch some of your prior episodes! Thanks so much for sharing your time with us!

Hello Karen! It’s so lovely to have you join us. Thank you for trying the channel and I’m so glad you enjoyed it enough to subscribe. At least if I have to feel guilty for enabling you, I can console myself that they were beautiful things I enabled you to get. Both of those are great choices. Maybe you’ll join Jackie and me for the Four Seasons Stitch Along staring in December? Charlotte’s school did a beautiful job of giving her a great last few days. They have been so supportive - staff and peers- and we couldn’t have asked for more. Thanks again Karen.

Good morning Sarah I wept when I saw your video. Please know that we love you and your stitching but we also love anything that is part of your life. We love little miss Charlotte and I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say we would love to see more of her and what she is doing in school and at home. Most of us are moms and love rejoicing with you and Charlotte's every activity. My husband works with children like Charlotte and I know for a fact that change is very hard. So please know we will be praying that she has a smooth transition into her new school and she will be blessed with many many new friends. Her personality just draws love and fun. Just like her ma ma. Thank you for all you do for the community. Bring us more we love it all. Linda from Rhode Island

This is the sweetest comment Linda. Thank you. Yes, the change is going to be very hard. Unlike me, Charlotte is gregarious so she will make new friends well, but just the adjustments to her routine, a new school uniform, new travel, all those things will really throw her for a bit. We’re working on a plan of dip feeding positive vibes about the new place all summer. The hardest part is just that we know she really doesn’t understand it yet. Anyway, we’ll get there and your prayers are very much appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Kim, thanks for your kind wishes. The graduation was wonderful. The scroll frames are Elbesee Easy Clip frames. Yes, there sure is a lot going on here. Lots of big changes and big emotions, but so far all good really. I’m so glad you’ll be joining us for the Four Seasons ladies SAL. I’m so looking forward to it.

Sarah, lovely projects and I really enjoyed Charlotte’s send off video!❤ Question-when you stitch with the scroll frame you have What Makes You Happy on, do you attach it to a stand? Or do you hold it and stitch with one hand? Or do you sort of prop it somehow and stitch with two hands? I’m very curious. Thanks!

Hi Tara. I do a mixture of things when I stitch on a scroll frame. I have a little demonstration in video 43 about 11 or 12 mins in if you’d like to see how I do it. I’m no expert but have found a way that works for me. Hope it helps.
