Yes, and the mountains are unique in their effects on weather that is for sure. We had fires last year and that was a bit scary too but they were never near enough to be a danger. ❤️

glad you girls were safe! we just got our water yesterday (Tuesday)! finally, some normalcy is on the horizon! i’m not sure if the water is safe to bathe with, but at least we can flush our toilets without having to bring in water… i’m so sad that some of the unique and iconic shops and areas in and around Asheville got devastated before i got to visit… but i know they’ll rebuild! - Kathleen

I’m glad y’all weathered the storm💗 We are in Upstate SC and the wind damage was bad but nowhere near what we see in WNC. My daughter goes to WCU and it was super scary not knowing if they were all safe.

I've lived her my whole life and this was like nothing I've ever experienced. I remember being in college in Raleigh with a hurricane and I'm sure my mom felt the same way you did.
