Sarah you are so precious. Congratulations on the birth of a new grandchild. What a blessing. I loved your work area and woodwork pieces by your hubby. My husband has made shelves in sewing room for fabric etc, and many other things around the house. We still have bookshelf he made in 1968 too. He is retired now and his mind is going on an addition for my sewing room.

Congratulations on being a Grandma again - So Cute and Adorable. Love your Stitching Spot - That Entertainment Center is just beautiful as well as your two tables. I had a good close friend that made me two Solid Bookcases out of Wood and it is the heavy duty Bookcases - they are not thin by any means. Hi Sarah! Love your video's! YES! Hair spray works wonders! Do not be afraid...spray it on a Q tip or cotton ball....You will be amazed! I stitch every day...I have been stitching about 50 years! I have lots of time to stitch...in October I fell and broke my hip! I have therapy 3 times a week and am trying desperately to walk by myself...I just finished a cross stitch called '"I can and I will" my motto for 2023! Keep up the good work! Hi Sarah, it was great seeing your stitchy spot, that coffee table is magnificent and you know what’s going to happen now??? Viewers are going to be asking if Stan can make them one. He’s truly talented for sure, my Father was a Cabinet Maker and he made some fabulous pieces which are still in use today, he never threw away any wood, he made Step Ladders from old doors that were extremely sturdy again still in use today by many lucky people. I loved your story about the thread from the lady who could no longer stitch. The mother (Mrs. Linda) of one of my best friends (Terri) from work passed away. Terri was cleaning out some of her mother’s craft items and she gifted me with a lot of DMC thread and fabric. I was just blown away by Terri’s kind gesture. I have added the fabric to my stash. I have been working on some Prairie Schooler Santas to give my grandchildren for Christmas and have used several threads from Mrs. Linda’s stash. I plan to stitch Terri a Santa ornament using her mom’s thread (and maybe fabric). Thank you for telling that story. It made me smile and think of Mrs. Linda.

As to your Vanna White impression…oh, Sarah, how often did you ever hear Pat Sajak tell Vanna that he likes her checked shirt and pair of pants? Perhaps your glitzy dress was at the cleaners? Time to step it up, girl! 😄 The Pandemic bedsheet is looking wonderful. I’m glad you find it relaxing and joyful to stitch. One day I must stitch one of these patterns and see if I get the same feeling. Your Mary 395 drapery panel is also coming along beautifully. The Plum St Valentine pattern is off to a good start. As to having to stitch the flower outline 4 times, we all know that “I don’t know where my brain was” is veiled language for “I was on the sauce again.” No worries, at least you’re lucid now and back on track. Ira Ray would be fun on a tote bag, with Ida May on the opposite side. They’d also look cute as blocks, done with some fun trim. They could sit on Stan’s beautiful inlay table and keep an eye on you when you’re making videos, perhaps squawk if you exceed the hanging threads limit. Take care, my friend, and happy stitching.

Good Friday morning Sarah. I am starting my day with you. You are such a delight and have so much enthusiasm for everything you do, your new grand baby, your daughter, son-in-law and of course Stan and your puppy Chester (I know he isn’t a puppy I call all dogs no matter what age a puppy). Dear sweet Sarah! Congratulations on your beautiful and precious grandbaby! The pictures brought tears to my eyes and I gasped at the last one! So the baby wins over the cross stitch, but those gave me a few gasps as well. Everything is coming along beautifully Sarah and you are making great headway with so many things. I did watch the 911 Stitcher and heard the story of the lady who could no longer stitch... so awesome that she (and we) can pass on the torch, or the needle 😊. My mom was not crafty, but her friend was into everything. She took me under her wing and showed me so many things. When she passed away, I purchased some of her supplies. This was years ago, and I still use the glitter when I do crafts with the generations of kids in our family. It makes me think of her with great appreciation. Thank you Sarah for your beautiful words of encouragement. I can feel them. I have been struggling with heart issues, but stitching is keeping me calm and joyful in the midst (and Flosstubes!) I have stitched many small projects and currently have two wips 😁 One Kathy Barrick and something that my daughter asked for for her birthday. Next on my list is the "Keeper of the Pins" set! I am glad you showed your progress on these. Once again I kept notes so I could comment. 1) Congrats, Grandma. 2) That coffee table and entertainment center are pieces of functional art. 3) I save all my orts too. I plan to turn them into fabric and make project bags with them. I’ve seen the process on KZbin. 4) I like your idea to turn Ira and Ida into project bags. I need a definite use for everything I stitch. I’ve turned some of my pieces into bags. I’m careful to leave plenty of seam allowance in case I do want to frame them later. I really am trying to adopt Wm Morris’ saying, “Have nothing in your house that you don’t know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.” If you turn them into bags you can enjoy them everyday and show them to us every time you share your wips.

Sarah, I think your necklace is Dutch Spiral. My favorite was the stepped Herringbone. I realized that to add strength to your beaded chain, you can build it around soft flex wire and my chart was published in Bead and Button, along with a beaded loops peyote tube. Oh Sarah the new baby is absolutely gorgeous!! Congratulations to you and your family!! I love love love all of your wips but Thurza is just stunning! My daughter is also a doctor with a one year old, new house and a husband who is also a doctor, and she told me she wants to learn to cross stitch because as she put it, "she needs a hobby that will slow things down!"

Good morning, Tensy, so good to see you. Your well wishes regarding the baby are appreciated. How wonderful your daughter wants to learn to cross stitch! I can remember those busy times. I was married to surgeon when Eva was born, and I did use my cross stitch as quiet time. Tell your daughter to go for it. She will not regret the decision.
