Loved the videos! All the stunning FFOs and that FFOIP (we're making it a thing!)... Thank you for sharing about your personal HRT journey and all the other education you provide to our community! I was thrilled to stitch on some of your patterns last weekend to celebrate your special day. Can't wait for the next installment on the Let's Make a Statement series. And thank you for joining the SmallWinsSAL! You finished Aya's pattern beautifully!

Love the new release! Just got it! Your hair has some amazing floof today! The nostalgia thing is hard for all aspects. I don't care about this particular person as I was college aged during that time and never got too into it. But even just trying to share shows and movies from my childhood with my kids? So many things don't age well and we have to be strong enough to realize that we need to just outgrow some things and leave them behind. Just because something means something to you at one point of your life doesn't mean it is appropriate to hold onto it forever. And I like to look at the bright side and look at how quickly things have changed for the better in just a few decades to realize this! Anyhow, congrats on the T! Keep being awesome!

I so look forward to the rest of statements. I’m planning on finishing the first one for my office. How dare your school send you to a professional development day on your day off. They should’ve scheduled it on a Monday 😁 I love a project bag finish. That’s my go to for those random projects I finish. I absolutely love that Hannah Harding sampler. Those colors are gorgeous Also Sending you love and excited for your journey 💜 And now I just heard my name and just jumped 😂

Wow Dee, okay I cried because you were happy you got T and then cried because you felt unsafe. ❤ This one was a rollercoaster but I'm so thankful for you sharing your experiences, as far as I know I don't currently know any trans people in my real life but whenever that happens, I can be more educating and understand much more. I hope in future making every step in transitioning is filled more with positive emotions, my heart honestly aches for those even having the times they should be able to fully celebrate filled with some fear. So looking forward to the rest of the statement series, loving this first one even though I've yet to find fabric and stitch it!

My thought when you mentioned your FFOIP...'Gretchen, stop trying to make 'fetch' happen! it's not going to happen!' 🤣 I love seeing all your progress on your projects. Thank you for your trans/boy wizard pattern. My sister and I have been discussing that whole issue after she recommended me read the NYT opinion piece that came out earlier this month. My heart broke seeing you get upset about whether to transition or not in our current cultural climate. I understand that fear since I grew up and still live in the southern US. Thank you for living your truth everyday. You are an inspiration. I'm glad that your transition is going well. Sending you a million virtual hugs. Have a wonderful rest of your February. Can't wait to see your video in March.

I always love your videos so much! Thank you for being so vulnerable and open. You are changing the world one video at a time ! And for educating about the terrible person that is that author. Name names on the cross stitch company - we ride at dawn.

Hahahaha I don't do much calling out anymore (unless peeps are being racist/homophobic/transphøbic) because it's not worth the weird fall out that comes afterwards. My DMs are always open on Insta if you'd like to ask certain questions ha!

I want to thank you for the explanation about the author and the wizard - I didn’t know the half of it so having it explained so clearly is invaluable to me. Did you know my trans daughter came to Canada for Christmas? And got stuck in Vancouver airport in a random blizzard? She was not a fan of that part of her trip but loved her time in Coquitlam (excuse the spelling I might have that wrong). Anyway I love your videos, thanks for the fab content - Nic x

What you said about a trans person coming to a flosstube or instagram channel and not knowing if it's a safe space for them - that really resonated with me. Back in 2020 there was a huge blow up with a knitting facebook group that I had really enjoyed being part of - it turned out to be super racist, with racist mods, and the whole thing (while certainly not the same as what you're talking about) well, it made me reluctant for a while to follow new floss tubers or new people instagram until I could tell where they were coming from. Like, "I really want to like this person and connect with them, but what if they hate my friends?" Heck, I still feel that way a lot. So when you made your comment, it made me so sad that I myself might not be providing a safe enough space for others. Thank you for making me more conscious about that. I will be trying to make changes to my profiles in various places to be more clear that trans lives matter very much to me. 🙂

WOW. Talk about educator... WOW . Thank you for being you. To be honest I began to watch your channel on a recommendation from Michelle, (bendy stitchy) as I loved the krampus design she was stitching at the time. I have learned so much through yourself, Michelle and stitch for pride. It actually hurts me to think that something I may do would offend or hurt another, so as a fellow human who has every right to be who they wish to be, I wouldn't want to hurt or offend you or anyone e from the LGBTQIA community. I have been going through the people I buy from, or follow on social media and I am far more conscious of their feed, I am more confident to ask now if they are supportive of inclusively, and I am also confident enough to say , if I don't feel that they are, sorry my money goes elsewhere!!! My daughter is lesbian and has always had my full support, but there is so much more I need to learn, so THANK YOU. For teaching, it's been wonderful so far. 😊 I know this is a novel, but I have to add, last week I discovered a favourite homewear designer uses the boy wizard in some designs, and I felt good to comment my disappointment, stop following and tell everyone I know ahy I am stopping, I think my 70 year old mum almost understood 🤔🙃 anyhow, thank you for inspiring me to be a better me. Xx

Your chart Trans Rights says it all.I was a teenage when the Kinks song Lola was released . The nuns at school told us not to listen to it .That started my journey to believe we are all equal. Why do others hate what is different ? Maybe there is really no answer to this .But to say it is taught .( Lola is still a favourite ). I am not into samplers .I sure like Hannah Harding 1832.
