A fellow Jersey Girl here. I just moved down to South Jersey 08094 from Sussex county. I love your straightforward attitude. I feel like I'm on the other side of the table with a friend. You're amazing doing all thos Dimension kits. I'm a 60's babe too and remember that there was very little choice in cross stitch. It's a wonderful time now in that industry, there's so many choices. You did a great job on your first floss tube. I definitely will be watching more. Best of luck and keep on stitching.

Hi Pam sent me! Hello from Wisconsin! You were talking about fiddly stitches, remember stitching Precious Moments back in the 70’s? I never finished one, they drove me nuts besides I really didn’t like them. Your projects are very ambitious! I look forward to catching up on your FTs.

Welcome to Flosstube. I also am a fellow Jersey stitcher, residing in Hunterdon county. I admire you ambition of taking on such large full coverage projects and also have a basket full of WHIPS in my living room that calls to me daily. Sometimes I look at it and think "will I live long enough to finish them all, then purchase yet another must-have pattern. I wish I had used index cards from the start the way you do to track how long I have worked on a specific projects but intend to start doing so now. Looking forward to seeing more of your work in the future.

Hi! I'm from Georgia and I'm 60 years old, left-handed and I don't crochet, but I taught myself to knit from KZbin a few years back so I can relate to what you said about your crochet class. I got told something similar about knitting in a yarn shop, and I knew i could do better on my own! Everything you said about us stitchers of a certain age, yes I know! I've been cross stitching since i was 13 in 1976 so I've been on that same journey. I can't embrace all these expensive project bags either. Or all the acronyms...wips, and all that. They're just my projects. I'm on the page as you with much of what you said. I like to stitch some similar things as you, so I enjoyed the tour through your projects. Lastly, I wanted to throw in that I also watch a channel called Old Curiosity Shop and it's an antique/thrifting channel with a guy named Scott who is probably your neighbor. He's from south Jersey and talks alot about the difference in south and north Jersey and "going down the shore", etc... He used to live in center city of Philadelphia and recently bought a 1925 house in that suburb right across the river from Philly that he's restoring. His thrifting specialty is glass and pottery from the 1920s-1960s that he finds in Goodwill stores and flea markets and estate sales all over that area and I'm jealous at how fabulous the finds are in that area! We don't have anything that good around here. He is very knowledgeable about all kinds of old glassware and restores furniture, lamps, old radios and clocks and talks alot about the history of the area and I love to stitch and watch his channel and thought you might want to check him out since he's right there in your area and he's got about 6 years worth of videos and it's fun to watch someone who is creative in a different way than I am. You did very well on your Flosstube #1! Subscribed!

I do not think the projects should be ironed each time until finished don,t blame you for not taking off the hoops or q snaps each time and project bags are beautiful but so expensive (I use Amazon or any tote I might have). Very practical. Everyone should do what’s works for them. Looking forward to seeing your progress ect…. Thank you barb Also painters tape leaves no residue and easy to come off and on.

Ah, the arrogance of that right handed crochet teacher. I am a lefty who had to learn to tie her shoes from a lefty neighbor because righty people can’t teach lefty people things that involve coordination and tension. I couldn’t learn to crochet from my overly patient right-handed grandma either. I learned from a KZbin Channel. Bella Coco is the BEST teacher ever. I always search her videos whenever I am stuck on a technique. Shame on that teacher. So arrogant and completely wrong!
