Absolutely have to have Stuffing with Thanksgiving dinner. It just wouldn't be thanksgiving without it. Always need the gravy on top too.🥰

I can’t live without pumpkin pie for thanksgiving..

I just love thanksgiving. I can’t scale back either, lol. But my favorite is the stuffing. Not to mention the pie! Some years my children have thanksgiving at their in-laws but everyone still gathers at our place later in the evening for “Pie Palooza”. There is always at least a dozen different pies on offer. 😆

What a beautiful quilt and story to have. I have one from my grandmother (mother’s mom) that I never met. I treasure it because I’m told I just like her and have her talents. There are 2 things my family cannot go without on Thanksgiving, my mother’s dressing, and sweet potato casserole!

In my house stuffing is the one side dish we couldn’t do without on Thanksgiving! We have both turkey and ham and all the sides to go with both. Everyone loves the stuffing. My husband even makes sandwiches with the leftover stuffing and mayo. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Cheryl

Shelly how blessed you are to have your two quilts along with the story you shared. I have a few baby quilts myself that were made by family members that are now gone and I love them so much. That hank of floss - when you held it up I said, “Oh my!!” And my husband came over to see it and just looked at me wide eyed. He has seen me struggle over much smaller pieces of floss so we both felt your pain ◡̈. Love all the pieces you shared with us. I just love having you in my home.

Beauuuutiful quilt! You are so lucky to have a family heirloom such as this. I’d die to have one from our family but it wasn’t in our history. Please keep making videos and sharing your tidbits with us, Monday/Tuesday wouldn’t be the same for me😊. We are very traditional in our thanksgiving EXCEPT the meat. Too many don’t like turkey so this year we are making a small turkey breast AND two pork loins(I’m in charge of the meat).My favorite, can’t live without, is pumpkin pie or pumpkin-something dessert. All the sides can be made through the year but pumpkin is definitely the sign of the season. Have a great week!!

Hi Shelly. Thanksgiving dinner is also my favorite meal of the year ❤️. Turkey is the dish I can’t do without! All of it is delicious and can’t wait to have dinner with the family! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours

We have started to move away from traditional Thanksgiving food because most of us don’t care for all of it. I have a small family so I make a chicken casserole dish. But we still have the green bean casserole and that is a must every year. I always enjoy your videos thank you. Happy stitching!!
@bonniescheffer3154Ай бұрын
I cannot do that pumpkin pie, but then I also like the turkey breast and dressing and chicken and dumplings, so I’m not sure I need it all. Have a happy Thanksgiving.

STUFFING!!!! That was tough… like you, I love all the traditional thanksgiving dishes. But stuffing is my favorite. I remember helping my grandma grind and chop all the ingredients. She was a great cook - but her dishes were very simple. We always had a “pretty” plate at grandmas house. All the different colors. I still pay attention to that now. 🦃 happy thanksgiving!!!!

My must have for Thanksgiving is my mom's cranberry salad--cranberries, orange peel, pecans, jello. It's so so good!
@kathymorrison1405Ай бұрын
One of the things that I can’t leave off my Thanksgiving table would be baked corn. Because that is one of the first things that my husband’s family had on thanksgiving that I had never had before meeting the family. Love your snowman tag! Have a happy Thanksgiving!

It's all about the turkey for me. White meat or dark, it doesn't matter... I love turkey! Thanksgiving always seems to get wrapped up with all the other holidays, but it should be celebrated as intended, and that's to appreciate all of our blessings, big and small.

I like to make homemade cranberries, they are so much better than the canned ones. I love seeing the fresh ones showing up in the supermarket.

It depends on who you ask..lol. My husband - the turkey and pumpkin pie. For both my sons it is the cornbread casserole and my mom’s cranberry salad…lots of marshmallows on top. I think it is so fun to see the way everyone does Thanksgiving. 🍁🍂🍁🦃🍁🍂🍁

Like you, Thanksgiving is my very favorite meal. I have a large family (I am one of 12) so we get together on Saturday with all the siblings, their kids and grandkids. It is a wonderful day and everyone has to have one of my sister's pumpkin bars. We have all the traditional foods but pumpkin bars are the favorite!

Thanksgiving is always a huge meal for us and one that has many favorites of our 7 kids (plus spouses) and our 15 grandchildren. If I say we should make things simpler…I am definitely voted down! Lol! So these are the must haves…turkey AND ham, Bri’s stuffing, my green beans, Brooke’s corn casserole, Lindsey’s mashed potatoes just to name a few. I am fortunate that many daughters and daughter-in-laws help ❤ I do buy the canned jelled cranberry…even I think I am the only one who eats it!! Shelly loved your scarf!!! Also like the sparkly fabric you picked for your new Christmas wip…remind me to sew something on it!! 😊

We could never leave out my husband’s grandma’s Texas Taters! As a matter of fact, my niece’s husband wasn’t feeling like traveling, but when she told him that there would be Texas taters, he got his coat and headed for the car.

It's fun and interesting to see what people would NEVER leave off of their Thanksgiving table. That's a tricky question actually! Roast turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes are a given, plus pumpkin pie and the famous green bean casserole. There are vegans in my family, and believe me, there are DELICIOUS vegan versions of each of these things! 🦃🦃🦃

I could never leave off mashed turnip (rutabaga) from our Thanksgiving. My mom made it my whole life and I started it for my family also. My daughters make it for their families too when I don’t host. Everyone has to have at least one bite, even the little ones. Most of us do like it though!

Trace the design onto any paper, even wax paper and slip that paper into the pillow to see if it fits before cutting your actual piece.😉 I must have my homemade stuffing & gravy, and cranberry of course. It's so hard to scale back a Thanksgiving Feast - - my plate has to be colorful. I'd cut out a veggie here & there and make up for it with desserts!! Happy Thanksgiving!!!
@debramatherly550Ай бұрын
My family basically does a traditional Thanksgiving but not as extravagant as what my mother use to cook. I have no idea how she got it all done. We do turkey, stuffing, cranberry, sweet potato casserole, veggie casserole, green beans, mashed potatos, gravy and maybe a little dessert. Technically I think sweet potato casserole is dessert.

I just started Believe with Floche, too! First time using it, also. I took a look at that hank and researched before I took it apart. It frays, so I cut in half then into thirds (although that’s pretty short). I am not a fan and will not order again!
