Part of what I love so much about Flosstube is seeing how everyone makes pieces their own. A Quaker Dwelling has never really called to me, but seeing it on your fabric has made me reconsider that. Your version is lovely! In highschool English was my favorite subject - I loved both literature and composition. In college, my favorite classes were my history classes. I'm working toward a second Bachelor's degree right now, and I'm taking a short story class which combines the best of both worlds for me.. we've been reading some great short stories and our final project will be to write our own short story.
@ColoradoCrossStitcher2 жыл бұрын
That sounds like exactly the kind of class I'd like - short stories, and then writing one! Sometimes I miss college classes. 🙂 And I was the same as you about Quaker Dwelling. Thought it was pretty, but wasn't tempted to stitch it until I saw it on colored fabric!

Glad you’re back. Congratulations on your business ventures. Totally enjoy your snippets of general knowledge and your encouragement to stick with our projects. I would say my favorite subject/teacher was Mrs McCollum in the 3rd and 4th grade. It was a small school and 2 classes shared a room/teacher, so I had her twice. I learned so much in those 2 years. She was so kind and compassionate to a child who was socially awkward and a bit lazy in her work. I remember in the 4th grade we had a lesson on telephone etiquette. I burst into tears when it was my turn to respond. We didn’t have a phone, I had never used one. When the others started to laugh, she quickly took the class into hand and gently guided me through the lesson. She was the greatest.
