Okay, sooo many thoughts!! If you do the Paris trip, I would absolutely love to join up with you guys. Strasbourg is about 90 minutes from my house!! Colmar and Strasbourg both have amazing Christmas markets. Basically the entire downtown area is covered with lighted stalls, carnival rides, Christmas lights, basically the North Pole in France. The weather is cold, but not snowy. Some years its very sunny and beautiful, just nippy, you know? But if everyone brings a decent coat and some wool tights they'll be fine! I love this idea so much and hope it works out to meet up with you fine folks. And Disneyland Paris gives half off group rates for 20 or more people, so you should definitely add on a day for that.

Disneyland Paris! Perfect add on. When you’re already that close how could you not. This would be such an exciting adventure. Thanks for exploring the possibilities and taking us along for the ride. Starting to save my pennies now just in case.

Oh my you brought back wonderful memories. During my days of teaching, I was a speech coach and I was amazed at how my students did in those areas. I also loved being a judge in those areas. Also wonderful stitching!! Faith (stitching at the barn)

You ladies brought up so much today!!! Keph, that Moon pattern reminded me if the book I used to read to my kids, Goodnight Moon. I wonder if that was somewhere in the recesses of your mind to make you think of your boys. 😊 And then Deb talks about debate. I was NEVER anywhere near capable of such a thing because, you know, stitcher = introvert for most of us. It was so bad, I wouldn’t accept the National Honor Society award because I didn’t want to walk across the stage (32 years later my mom is STILL mad at me over that!). BUT, in college a public speaking class was required including an impromptu speech. And of course, as I stand there shaking, naive, and scared to death….i get the subject matter…..sex. I cried all the way to the back the of the classroom, got a zero for the speech, and grew my introvertedness that day but 1000%!!!😂😂😂

You are right; it would have to be next year. I’m not someone who has $4k at my fingertips so I’d need time to save and budget for it. I also agree late fall/early winter would be so magical!!! Y’all can take the extra day and go to Disneyland, I’ll find a lovely cozy little coffee shop and stitch!! Cannot wait to see where this will lead us!! I have 2 college degrees. My first one is a BA in Speech Communications and Theatre with a minor in French! I’ve never been to France… I also competed on the Speech and Debate team in High School and College!!! No Extemporaneous speaking, no Impromptu speaking no debate. I was more the Poetry interpretation Prose Interpretation After Dinner Speaking and Persuasive Speaking….

Thought for you abt the seasonal stitches…. work on them during the season they are in. So you would get a touch them each year. I loved doing this with my Mirabilia seasonal queens. It took me three years to finish them, but they all fished in the same year.

Oh my gosh ladies, I’m sitting here hand sewing on a quilt binding while watching you and I looked up and your heads were cut off! The ending was hilarious as you bent down to stay in the camera frame, lol. Debbie, I love your 4 part seasonal seaside stitch and can’t wait to see your progress. Kephron, your spring Quaker is looking awesome! I haven’t even started that one yet. I’d be very interested in a stitching trip to France next year. Am also interested in either Stitch West…looking forward to more info! Oh, Debbie, my sister suffers from vertigo terribly and finally got the doctor to see her when it was happening…she now has maneuvers to do whenever it sets in and she says they really work! Something you could look into if you haven’t already.
