Hi Debbie and Keph! Think about trying a teaspoon of locally produced, not store bought, honey to keep sickness away. Might not help with the stomach bug though. When I had Covid, honey helped so much! I’m not a honey lover, but I was so desperate to feel better, I took a teaspoon in the morning and at night and wow, it worked within a few days. My husband is a beekeeper and he swears by it! He eats honey everyday. He never got Covid and was around me while I was sick. Just a thought, doesn’t mean it’s a good one! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Children’s liquid echinacea builds up their immune system. My little girl would rarely get sick but when she did she was well in two days versus her friends two week colds, etc. And it was because of this echinacea. Great stuff!! My doctor had me give it to her two weeks on and one week off so her body wouldn’t get use to it! My husband and I take echinacea capsules- it really helps! You already giving them elderberry and probiotics is wonderful too!! ❤

This is going to sound nuts, but wash your walls, especially down at kid hand level, but adult level, too. Wash your walls. We had six kids, and one winter was especially bad with a go-round with strep that would not stop. First one half of the family, then the next. I scrubbed down all the walls and floors, but especially ALL OF THE WALLS. It worked. But you will think I am nuts. (PS: It isn't as if I had dirty walls and floors, because I did not! But to do all of them at the same time . . .) I agree that stretcher bars are so important when doing needlepoint. The stretcher bars make all the difference, and I love needlepoint, too. I have hardly ever done painted canvases because they are out of my price range - but stuff from magazines with specialty stitches are so much fun! So I hope you find the stretcher bars helpful, too. Other colors for the snow-people could be purples and variegated. Merry Christmas and a Healthy New Year! (And Keph, get some PT for your sciatica.)

@SnugHarborCrafts12 сағат бұрын
@@ellenfuller4393 you can purchase the Morgan hoops on 123 Stitch. You can use DMC Floss or I have since started using DMC Pearl cotton for bigger coverage and I love that it is in a spool and I don’t have to keep re-threading. Vonna Pfeiffer has a great tutorial to get you started.

You are not the only ones! My family and I went down like dominos with the stomach bug a couple weeks ago and they're teenagers. Usually we just have a mild cough or cold. Not this year. All of us except my husband somehow and he was even in the trenches with me cleaning up. My dad visited a week later and got it too!....so crazy! The two of you make me laugh and fill my heart with joy! I share Deb's enthusiasm for wanting to stitch it all!

I work with special needs people and when I first started working there I was sick all the time. I read up on it and started taking Vitamin D and I am hardly sick know still working same job. Also when I was on the Amblance.we would put a zip lock bag around a cross stitch hoop and put the band on it. We could then seal the bag shut. I still do this less messy then bags from the dr.

Unfortunately, COVID destroyed most people’s immune system that they build up for years. Continue to exposing the kids-immunity needs to be build up. Both my daughters-I left them play with their friends when their friends were sick-more exposure faster build up to immunity. I tell my daughters to keep exposing my grands. They had a lot of illnesses when they were in day care but by the time they were in kindergarten they were hardly ever sick. Merry Christmas to you both and your families!

Deb, I loved seeing all of your projects, they're so beautiful and I can certainly understand that you want to stitch on them all. Keph, your stitching looks great and don't give up, even if you have to count or recount several times to get the stitches correct - this is normal, and not everybody stitches fast. Don't worry about the speed or the recounting, just enjoy your own stitching. Wishing you both and your families a warm and wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

Cod liver oil. Not pills. Organic Nordic. Comes in different flavors. You will increase and support the immune system and you will be amazed at the changes. Stay away from crowds during winter months. People are so inconsiderate and go out while sick and make everyone else sick. Schools are incubators of every disease known to man. So, echinacea, elderberry and vitamin D are the big ones to support respiratory and immune systems.

My kids didn’t get sick much . I was surprised especially so little in school. I just made sure there hands were washed when they came home from school and I tried to remind them in school to not put there hands in there face when at school. I didn’t give them vitamins but they ate vegetables for dinner . I was blessed.
