Thanks for the tip on the PRC Hot Cocoa, I have the chart but haven't kitted it yet. I love your scissor fobs, the glass snowmen are adorable!

Have been stitching the same chart you took on your trip. I agree with you the Hot Cocoa kit by Primrose Cottage was very close to not being able to stitch the whole chart, with the thread. Since their a little slow shipping to Ohio. I Wanted to finish it soon, so I decided to use a silky red by DMC, that I already had. Which I'm stitching the cup, & embellishments with that. Then leaving me enough floss for the words. So it's working out. Thanks for sharing with us. I enjoy your enthusiasm & motivation.

Good morning. Information on the patterns purchased: The first one -- Amish ladies quilting is "Told in the Garden" designed by Marilyn Levitt Imblum. She designed many beautiful Amish patterns. She also designed under Lavender & Lace and Butternut Road. She was a very popular stitcher and many of her patterns are still available, especially the Victorian angels. Her daughter, Nora Corbett, designs all the Mirabilia and the smaller designs under her own name. Ms. Corbett is also a very successful designer. Darlene Osteen is probably consiidered the premier cross stitcher from the 1970's and 1980's. She is an expert stitcher and many of her sampler patterns are still available. Google her name and you will see just how beautiful her samplers are. And I know this because I am "old." 😅 I started stitching in 1980 and before that I worked mostly on needlepoint projects. My tastes are varied. I will stitch anything from reproduction samplers to small cute Lizzie Kate patterns. I will be 80 in April, and if you have seen any of the plans stitchers have for 2024, there are a few who are doing 24 starts in 2024; a couple are doing 50 starts in 2024 to celebrate 50th birthdays; ah, yes, and then there is me. I thought the whole idea was a little crazy, how could that be accomplished. I'm sure you know where this is going -- yep, crazy Grandma Kate is doing 80 starts in 2024. Plus all the other WIPs and projects I have started. I am really excited to start this journey, and I will keep you posted. I love your videos and your enthusiasm. And, about your mom, I am sorry you lost your mom so young in life. I had my mom for 60 years, and I am lucky to have pictures of her and I can still remember her voice and her smile. And so, I will stop talking now. Keep up the good work.

Thank you thank you thank you for your comment! I was hoping it was the gal who designed Lavender and Lace. Well, I am very fortunate to have found her charts! And I love your 80 starts in 2024 happy early birthday to you! That is wonderful! What will you start first? And as for my mother, it is sad, but it inspired me to be the best mother I could be for my children and that I am thankful for. I hope to be here for them a long lifetime. Thank you for your lovely comment I really do appreciate it and you ❤️
