Such a lovely visit with you Tammie. Thank you for celebrating your daughters' beautiful work with us. You mentioned Persickety Cross Stitch shop and I wanted to share that there are a mother/daughter here on floss tube, Two Tall Stitches that are very involved with that shop. I believe Carol, the mom, works there a bit and Jen her daughter does some model stitching. Your work is so lovely and I come away so inspired. I will definitely watch Kimberly Jolly's video. Thanks!

The first design you showed from your daughter that cross stitched is a little house needleworks chart. Beautiful crochet from your other daughter. I’m interested to know if your sons craft? My son plays music and draws but it is nearly all computer based. He also has made models and masks in the past. You are right that we shouldn’t expect our children to follow us in our interests. They find there own way I guess. I lost my eldest son 8 years ago but he was a fantastic artist but sadly never realised. Thanks for sharing some of your family life.

I’m sorry to hear about your loss, Julie. In regards to our sons, One son crocheted when he was younger, actually making potholders for older ladies in our church. He had beautifully even stitching. He did that during a time when he was trying to find his “gifts”. Today he does videography/photography. Another son is the woodworker of the family.

Hi Linda! I would consider this pattern a beginner friendly stitch. The pattern printed in the magazine is color coded as well as symbols, so it is very easy to read. And is printed over 2 pages so fairly large. Hopefully the kit is printed in the same manner. I wish you the best!
