Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because it is all about family and food and being together. My favorite side dish is candied sweet potatoes. I am thankful that at this time of year we all gather to celebrate being together. Over the years these gatherings have been huge or small. Loved ones have come and gone and it gives us time to treasure the time we have together and remember those we miss.

One of our favorite dishes for Thanksgiving is cornbread dressing. Some people call it stuffing, but I don’t stuff it in anything, just make an enormous pan of it as my family devoured it. So thankful for my family that enjoys being together!

I am so thankful for the blessing of family and friends, and especially my husband. I am also thankful for your Flosstube. I look forward it each month. This one was chock full of wonderful ideas that I hope to make use of. I love that train case. You got a nice one, very clean looking inside. I can't wait to see it when you're done transforming it. My favorite side side at Thanksgiving is the green bean casserole. I love all the side dishes, but this one is usually reserved for Thanksgiving while many of the others we eat occasionally throughout the year. My mother started making it before it was a national staple. At least no one else was eating it in our neck of the woods. We thought it was so fancy when she first made it. That had to be around 50 years ago as I was still living at home and a young teen at the time. I received my spruced up Book of Days the other day and love it! Thanks so much!! I thought the train case idea was very creative. I recognized the one you showed because I have the same one. It was my mother's (we have the matching suitcase too) and we use it to keep our dog grooming supplies in. I have two hat box style cases that would be fun to transform. Looking forward to seeing what you do. My favorite side dish is smoked macaroni and cheese. My husband runs the smoker for the turkey and I make a vegan mac and cheese in a cast iron skillet and he smokes it. I'm not vegan but have food allergies, my husband loves it as well. This year, I am very thankful for the peace in my home and time I can share with my husband. Thanks.

I especially liked the tutorial on how stitching over various fabric threads and using increasing floss threads makes for a variety of looks. My favorite side dish is corn casserole.
