It's so wonderful to see you again! ❤ That retreat is in my bucket list!!! I would absolutely love love to meet you! This coming year however I'll be going through a breast cancer journey, so it will have to wait a few years.😢 But I do know that as I'm sitting with chemo drugs going through me I will most definitely be watching flosstube. Again love you sister in Christ!

What an incredible retreat, so glad that you shared and extended the ‘charge’ to all of us watching. People who appreciate the fiber arts are, in my experience, the kindest humans. I feel blessed to be a part of the community and, if presented with an opportunity, I will happily share the skill with anyone who expresses interest🪡🧵❤️

Please don't apologize for a long video. We love all you share. Also I struggle with feeling guilty sitting and stitching but when I watch you and stitch I don't telling myself I deserve sitting for one floss tube... longer the better....haha.... again we think of you as our friend spending the afternoon with us.

Thank you for sharing your fantastic experience with us. I know how you needed some down time. One month to the day after my husband turned 50 he had his first heart attack. We went from the ER Dr saying it was maybe an attack to observation overnight. Then an hour later he was scheduled for 5 bi pass surgery. But he lived to be 82 before I lost him. He is singing praises in heaven now with a new body.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and encouraging us all! What beautiful treasures you were gifted by such talented women! I could only find references to Beth re: being a model stitcher, etc -- could not find any source to possibly purchase something she has made. Do you know if she does sell online on any platform? Can't wait to see your finished sampler in the future and am looking forward to seeing your next video! Happy stitching! xoxo

Shelly I am moved to tears with this video. Thank You so much for giving us this experience of your retreat. I heard much and learned much. I want to start learning and doing some of these moving and telling samplers. Wondering how would I get started. I’ve always been an Aida girl. I also loved your video about linens and even weaves. My eyes are not as sharp as they were when younger but you mentioned we have to let our eyes adjust to the smaller holes. Which sampler would you recommend for beginners. ? Again thank You for sharing. This made my day complete.

To wax or not to wax. I have heard so many answers. Then do you wax cotton or just silk? Will the floss fade or not ? I am so confused could you dear Shelly explain. You are my favorite guru and I have learned so much from you. Thank you for your help.

I’m a waxer I wax all threads I pass mine over the wax once I use 100% bees wax And have never had a single problem If you have watched the video where I discuss silk and the one I speak about other threads I tell that back before the spinning wheel was invented in the 1700’s thread was produced by hand spinning it with a hand spindle and it was an arduous task. They waxed all of those threads to make them stable and so they would maintained their continuity. I hope this gives you a little confidence in your choice to wax or not. Neither is wrong. Your the boss of your thread😊
