Just love your stitches. You have great friends. What wonderful gifts. Ok, so I had to laugh about your comment. You didn’t know what you would do if you couldn’t stitch during this time. Well, on July 19th I fell ( how, why) hit my head slightly concussion, broke my arm. From the elbow all away across my arm. This is my dominant arm right. They don’t cast. So I can’t do anything but sit with my arm on pillows and keep straight. Go to the dr every two was to make sure it is going back together. Relying on people is not my strong point, so the Lord has humbled me. I live by myself. Have a daughter with family in fl. My other lives about 10 mins away. She works an hr away gets home late. She has been a blessing. I am 71 yrs young….and this is the hardest thing. Can’t stitch, rug hook, punch ,can’t journal, do Bible study, DRIVE is my biggest thing. The left hand doesn’t work like the right. Cooking is impossible. I have eaten more sandwiches than I care to think about. Yes, I have had people bring meals. The biggest thing is I am looking at the middle of Nov. with a ? Mark. I have just started working on working my fingers. Attempting to turn my arm up, then back. Swelling! And the nerves drive me crazy. I never realized how the two bones which moves your arm are connected to the shoulder and collar bone. If I mess it up now, I could require surgery. Fun huh? But I have watched a lot of tv. Reading a book no! And computer I am just able to touch. Just wanted to share I really understand. Oh and I can’t wait to sleep in my bed. For now it’s the couch sitting up. You know the lazy boy is out…can’t recline. Thought you’d like to know I feel your pain.
