Hi, I just watched the video and thoroughly enjoyed it. I have the pattern of Paula Vaughan. It’s called Star of the Magi. I checked on the leisure arts website and they still have it and loads other patterns as pdf’s. Just wanted to let you know in case anyone is interested. Yes we started stitching in the ‘go big or go home’ era 😂 ie my first was Mirabilia Winter Queen 😮😂😂😂 and Sweet Wings was a new market release. Great minds I got the same Lewis pattern. Love it!

My mom loved black licorice, me - yuck!!! LOL!! Loved the stitching and seeing the haul. So relaxing to just watch the two of you together. If you want, I have a floss tube and check it out!!! I’m no a holiday stitcher and also did a video on the fabrics I dyed!!!!

I am a scrapbooker and use dental floss to pull it away from the stitch board. This is what we use to pull off all pictures from magnetic album pages.

Love the Paula Vaughan pieces I also have quite a few done including the July quilt. I did it on 18 count and finished in a hoop. I also love black jelly beans and good and plenty. Love all the stitching. See ya soon.

Girl I remember stitching the Paula Vaughn’s myself on the ugly crunchy Aida… one pattern at a time! I had so many porches and chairs with quilts it wasn’t even funny and then came the 🪿 geese with the blue and mauve 🎀 😂 those were the days weren’t they! Let’s talk about precious moments too! Bears! 🐻 I could go on and on! Love you ladies and your channel and all you do! Wish I could be up north for your retreat but Mom is turning 89 soon and I just can’t be gone overnight. Loved seeing your Paula Vaughn pieces! I had both of mine in a closet until a year ago, pulled them out & gave them to my daughter to hang in her guest room with my old wardrobe cabinet I gave her years ago. And the one you stitched for Grandma is beautiful! Don't mean to lecture but as a breast cancer Survivor get the "girls" checked. 😉

I have many many Paula Vaughan charts, but in 30+ years of stitching, haven't done one yet! Love your new projects, and all the fabrics. I love black licorice jujubes, jelly beans, anything. My husband and I did a tour of the Jelly Belly factory in southern Wisconsin a few years ago, and had a hard time in their gift store. You could get those mini-packages up to it seemed like 25 lb bags - that might be a bit of an exaggeration but you get the idea. Neither of us like their cappuccino flavour though - it's a cream colour with brown spots. I now see that the factory we visited is permanently closed. I had a chuckle in your previous video as Missy said something about things being "side by each". My friends give me a hard time about that expression, as well as "right some good". Must be an east coast thing as I'm originally from Nova Scotia. May I suggest that you watch The Dutch Stitcher on FT. She's now had 10 videos, and is recently back to stitching again. Because she's in the Netherlands, she works on some different projects than we often see in Canada and the US. Thanks for taking your precious free time to do your videos!

The Paula Vaughn pieces are beautiful. They are definitely worth refinishing. Although I never stitched any of those patterns I always thought they were so pretty. I stitched several Precious Moments patterns back in the day. Then there was Dale Burdette and the geese and the cute bears. I liked Alma Lynn as well. Things have changed so much. I am stitching Erin Elizabeth’s Spring pattern from JCS Magazine and I wasn’t sure about the colors, especially “hello” being stitched in such a dark color. I have to hand it to her though. Kathy you are right, the colors go so well together. Thanks for the video. I always look forward to the next one.

Spring is teasing us here in Illinois also but without the snow. Have had our first tornado siren of the year though. Lots of nice things to see this week, thanks for sharing. Missy, DMC can be lightly bleached without color loss if you do have a mildew problem on the linen. Use a weak bleach solution for just a few minutes and rinse, rinse, rinse. I was gifted a stitched piece from a friend that was dark brown from the glue on sticky board and I was able to restore it back to original cream linen by sun bleaching. Wash/soak the piece, rinse well and place face down in the sun on green grass. Dampen and repeat until you are satisfied with the way it looks. It did take several weeks of many hours per day sun bleaching but it did clean up. May be a while before you have enough bright sunshine in Maine but it can be done. Good luck, they are too pretty not to clean up. I was never into Paula, bears, or geese; I did lots of Christmas ornaments and wedding samplers. I did a fabulous Native American set of two charts for my sister on terra cotta aida and she sold them on a yard sale. I don't have much of anything from when I started stitching as I gave most of it away.
