Happy stitching back to you also! Darn you sharing about the bird temp chart for next year. I was leaning toward the butterfly chart. Now I must rethink it! I am totally enjoying my temp tree this year (enabled by you). ❣️

Your Tisket a Tasket is truly lovely. Really like the bird updates. I live in AZ and am just about to put out my hummingbird feeder. I have a thistle sock that I leave out year round. Don’t get any birds that are too unusual. I love the quail that come to scratch under the thistle sock. I really enjoy your videos. Thanks for taking the time.

I can't even begin to maintain a rotation, there are way too many squirrels around for that silliness 😉 Try as I might, I just can't do it. Thank you for your love of the craft and the bird updates too.

I think I will stitch Kristi's birds for my 2023 temperature chart, but to keep it a little simpler, I may only do high temperatures for a lot of the days (so many possible color changes!). Hearing you discuss your thoughts about planning for next year is helpful and gets me thinking about my plans!

First time listener … will definitely be back. Love your projects. The temperature charts sound interesting. I’m sitting outside stitching, listening to the birds and hanging with my dog. I use the No Mess Blend. Works well. With any of the suet, I have problems with too many ravens/crows. They make me laugh but boy are they noisy. I tried the safflower cylinder and it worked well but I need to get more.

I’ve been without a car basically since I heard about it and am getting it back this week so I’m glad for the heads up about the festival because I have extreme parking/driving anxiety so I’ll definitely wait an additional week to join in! 😂

I don't worry about a rotation.. I've tried a few times and I keep with it and enjoy it for a while, then I feel like I'm telling myself that I *have* to work on things. I find that I usually get to all of my projects over the course of a year when I let myself stitch on what I want when I want.

I did that rotatation method before and liked it. Im doing a variation now where I stitch on a project for the weekend then switch to a new one for the weekdays and go through all my wips. This is the first time I believe I have seen your flosstube. And as a fellow bird lover I absolutely have to get the feed the birds pattern! I even love how you are changing it!

I've not commented in ages. Still here though. Love the plan for next year. I've bought patterns with a vengeance this past year? And need to make a list and get with it all this Autumn. Plan to stitch a moose start the first day we have "S" (try not to say a thing about that white stuff until it's here. The year we lived in West Springfield and Huntington, Massachusetts you/we/they had more snow than in ages! LOVED IT!!) You thought would work SO well for me. THANK YOU

I keep missing your "fancy folks" Zoom; you know LIFE. My Rain Queen is nearly done but I have actual Miras waiting in the wings. I would so love to do one on a 32 or 28 count so I could do skin 1 over 1 but I'm just really scared to do anything other than aida. I have done some small simple pieces on evenweave before.
@stitchinginthelandofgooden64132 жыл бұрын
One of these times you'll make it :) I say stitch on what you're comfortable with. Stitching should be fun. We were chatting on the Fancy Folk Zoom that doing the skin 2 over 2 v. 1 over 1 doesn't really matter. I did the skin 2 over 2 on the Mira I did and she's lovely.

Nice to catch up with you! I currently do WIPGO and then whatever else I want to do or am doing as gifts. Or at least I'm trying to do WIPGO. I am easily sidetracked. This leaves out a lot of my wips and I miss working on them. I might do some variation of the rotation method you're going to do. How are you going to organize or figure out order? What is the picture behind you in the video? I haven't seen Orioles in a while, but the hummingbird is visiting the oriole feeder. Something is eating the jelly. Are there other birds that eat it or am I feeding the bee type insects that I see around the feeder? Take care.
@stitchinginthelandofgooden64132 жыл бұрын
My rotation is going to go in order of start date. I keep a WIP list so I know when everything was started. You could do an alphabetical rotation or alternate between big and small or close to a finish v. not. This summer I did have other birds eat some jelly - a couple Starlings and a Flicker, but I suspect the flys and bees are probably eating a bunch of it.
@maryannjohnson54102 жыл бұрын
@@stitchinginthelandofgooden6413 Might be time for me to stop with the jelly if the bees and flys are mostly eating it. I've even see the bees chase off the hummingbird. Thanks for telling me how you are doing your rotation. I've got a spreadsheet with most of my wips listed, but I've gotten lazy about entering them. I'm now trying something new and am setting up the free version of Notions to keep track of my projects. While I'm doing that I'm going to decide what to do with a couple that I'm not going to finish.

I love your rotation idea. I am awful at planning and doing what I plan stitch wise...I think I could do that. I have a mocking box, as Olivia would say, of wips i can see right now...it is very mocking at this point, to say nothing of the tempting bag and box of kitted things. Do you have that feed the birds pattern? I love it and cannot find it on your site (or anywhere else actually).
@stitchinginthelandofgooden64132 жыл бұрын
Mocking box and tempting bag - love that lol I actually think the Feed the Birds pattern may be out of print. It's an oldie. It was gifted to me by a friend, but I think it's probably available on Etsy and not very expensive.
