You have some fantastic finishes this year..... I am sort of the same near the end of a project. I have to really force myself not to put it down, and then I almost get stressed trying to finish it...(Usually because there is more than I think there is to finish it). My not wanting to finish sometimes leaves me with lots of opportunities to go into a finishing frenzy every few years after I recover from losing my stitchy bug. What's weird now is I am having a hard time starting projects also. This new year, I am trying to get some more into my rotation. I am down to 8 (some very close to finishes) and I need some fresh "blood" to keep me from burning out. We will see how I do. I also want to finish some also. In short, I have realized I am a process stitcher...another piece of evidence is I have a huge bin with unfinished finishes.....also on my list of to do's every year and I fail miserably at that goal. Maybe this year I will conquer that. HAPPY NEW YEAR. See you soon on ZOOM.

What a fun video. Thanks for sharing all of your wonderful stitches. Loved being able to see Sir Thomas in the shop! Go with your gut on Quaker Garden - it seems like you would prefer the darker blue.

Pam, give yourself some grace please. ❤ You opened a cross stitch shoppe, you moved into a new home. You have limited time to stitch. You've accomplished so much! You have a family, a hubby, dogs, birds, I hope at your new home. Have a happy new year and count your blessings,!

I always look at WIP parade to get inspiration. Personally I don’t get the feeling of fun from having many pieces on the go. I am a monogamous stitch nerd. I have to finish each piece before moving on. I usually have about 15 big projects completed per year.
@stitchinginthelandofgooden64137 күн бұрын
I was monogamous once upon a time but I would only get a finish every couple of years because I would get bored and not stitch for months at a time. I definitely have too many for me right now though :)

I have Miss Mary Mack too! I have the fabric and everything I don’t know why I haven’t started it but I think I will now 😃 ps. Once you said the blue was like the 80’s blue I couldn’t see anything else. Might as well throw in one of those ducks too 😂 UFO it

I love watching you and definitely consider myself in your "good enough" neighborhood so often when I'm stitching (although your projects are BEAUTIFUL). I don't need Rx lenses for close work/reading, but I have trifocals with Rx distance, Rx mid-range and just glass for reading. Your doctor can prescribe anything!

You have some beautiful WIPs! It took me awhile to get through this as I had to pause and look up charts more than once. I love North Pole and I have to get some of that Atomic Ranch linen. I just started part 6 of Serenity Harbor this week. I found the first 3 parts difficult as there is no overlap between sections, so lots of counting. Once I got to the full coverage part I’m enjoying it more. I think it’s my focus piece for 2025 but having said that, it won’t get finished! Your stockings are such treasures and I love the finishing fabrics. Here’s to a wonderful 2025! ❤Susan

Thanks so much for watching!! I can't wait to get to the full coverage part of Serenity Harbor but I don't think it will be this year.

Happy New Year. Congratulations on your finishes this year, quite an accomplishment. For the blue piece, could you do it in 2 blue shades? Take out some of the light blue stitching and bring in the darker color in places. Or go crazy and bring in a third blue color.

You have a LOT of big, beautiful projects started, and I enjoyed seeing them all! Don’t worry about when they will be finished, and just focus on the ones you love and those that are closest to a finish! I like your blue on the Liz Matthews piece, but if you don’t like it start again! I’m looking forward to 2025, and lots of stitching! Excited about attending Stitch New England again too! Happy New Year, and wishing you all good things for 2025!

I finished A Tisket A Tasket a couple of months ago 1 over 1 on 28ct... still need to get it framed. If I had thought about what to leave to the end, I wouldn't have left the whole frame to stitch at the end... keep that in mind, it's almost completely the same all the way around (corners are different).

on the Riolis kit preview are two different kind of chickadees, They are also called tits but the one which blue and yellow called "Blue tit" Here is what wikipidia says about it "The tits are a widespread family of birds, occurring over most of Europe, Asia, North America, and Africa. The genus Poecile occurs from Europe through Asia into North America, as far south as southern Mexico. American species in this genus are known as chickadees."

OK. In my humble opinion that blue for the Liz Matthews is stunning. I'd keep going BUT if you'd be happier with that dark color - restart - you need to enjoy it.

Hello, lovely to stumble across your channel, about your project Quaker Gardens that you said looked like 80's blue.... how about making it an ombré? I personally think it looks lovely but agree that if you are myeah about it, Then it could do with being jazzed up a bit so that it makes you happy again. Love your projects. Happy Christmas

The mystery bird looks like a chickadee? Love that piece! Compare you little bird at the end with this piece. You can see them better than I can. When I get near the end of a project, I get a little burst of energy telling me, "Yes, you can! Yes, you can!" I look at all the stitches that are in place, it is a sigh of relief. I have a harder time with the first one third to one half of a project and doubts of whether I can do it justice. Silly. I don't usually enjoy WIP parades, but your pace was good and commentary fun - thanks. Happy New Year!

Beautiful stitching and love Sir Thomas! So handsome! Your stockings are gorgeous..can you tell me what fabric you stitched them on?
