It is always a pleasure to see what Charlotte is up to. Her excitement and enthusiasm is contagious. She is a fireball of energy😊. Congratulations on making it to the halfway point in your year of 50 stitches. It must be hard to put down something you are enjoying to start something new. My favourite thing about Halloween is handing out candy and seeing all the cute costumes. Happy stitching!

Loved your video. It was fun to hear about the bridge house and your holidays there. Sometimes we watch walking videos and I remember seeing the bridge house on Dave’s Walks KZbin channel. He walks through the English countryside and doesn’t talk, just shows the beautiful countryside. Very relaxing. Love your starts for Christmas in July. Happy Stitching
@sewmesarah7 ай бұрын
Yes, the Bridge House is very distinctive and so cute because it is relatively tiny. For many years it was used as an apple store (actual apples, not tech equipment 😉) because it has no grounded foundations and being over the river it was naturally cool and perfect for the purpose.

I absolutely love the variety of your projects and your stitching is beautiful 😍 Congrats on a super pretty finish 🎉💜 Now I see why you enjoyed my chatting about the Lake District and Ambleside since it is a special place for you. We did love the cute Bridge House and Ambleside was lovely...yes, a bit touristy but I guess that included us as well 😂 We will be back to the area for sure. And I'm excited to see your Bridge House stitch...it's so tiny and cute...just like the House itself! By pure coincidence I was stitching on the Historical Sampler Company Happy H.... Congratulations to Andrew for getting a job and in such a lovely area - good for his walking/running choices - but a shame for you it's across the Channel. Our daughter has always thanked us for her being independent as being a Nanny has meant she has late finishes and time off when friends are working so she is often travelling solo. The quilt show is held in May and a smaller one in October outside Malvern 😊. I hope you hear soon re: Charlotte's school. Let's hope we get summer weather for the school holidays!! You'll have had a lovely time moving your stash and discovering lost/forgotten items😂. You'll appreciate having more space - when you can find the time to enjoy it lol! Happy stitching🙂

Staying on the mainland is the right thing for career opportunities. I love Northern Ireland but can see that it’s just too small to offer the opportunities our young people need. At least I have a good excuse to visit somewhere I’ve never been before, and the quilt show is an added bonus😉 It has been lovely moving my cross stitch things and reorganising better, but it’s spreading out a bit and reminding me of just how much I actually have!

I enjoyed stitching with you this evening : ) Wonderful projects and oh I love the stories about Ambleside! I know it well, but just though Charlotte Mason. She was the inspiration for our homeschool curriculum. I have seen videos of people traveling there to see where she lived and worked. It's on my bucket list : ) I have Adore Him on my list of starts. July will be a great time to get it going! Thank you for sharing the border resource book. I have several books with alphabets and a few borders mixed in, but not one is just borders. What a find, thank you!

The border book is really lovely. I’m ashamed to say I had to go and look up Charlotte Mason on Google. For the many, many years I’ve been to Ambleside and the surrounding area I do not know why I haven’t heard of her. I did however have cause to use the health centre in Ambleside once and from what I’ve read that was on the site of the school she set up. The land and grounds are beautiful and I did think it rather grand for a health centre.

Lovely to see you this afternoon Sarah. We're just back after an unplanned week in Somerset catching up with family & friends before life is interrupted for a few weeks over the summer. As a result I've been knitting rather than stitching. I'm so looking forward to getting back to the MFE 2024 SAL I can feel the finish approaching. Congratulations to your son, Malvern is a beautiful area with a great show grounds for the many shows held there annually. Love your stitching as always. The Blue Bird has stitched up really quickly 👏👏👏 For some mad reason, I decided to kit up 324 by Works by ABC. I kept seeing the pattern & I was intrigued by the idea of using 324 DMC colours. So I kitted it up, I only needed to add 19 colours to complete the list & I was able to get all but one in the UK this week. I was also able to get some 18ct white Aida for it as well. With all the colours I wanted something plain for the background. Don't know when I'll get to start it. Hope Charlotte's schooling gets sorted out before the end of term. Take care, best wishes from 🇮🇪

We were able to visit him for two weeks about 30 years ago and travelled all over your beautiful country! Great memories! The new Halloween chart looks really cute and I’d love to stitch it! It really does go fast. All those years when they are little are still so fresh in my mind and yet here we are with Andrew moving to an independent life, new job, new town, new home. Our nest is not so empty as little miss whirlwind tends to live life large and fills that space, so I’m sure it’s very different for you now looking at having no children at home. It’s the way it should be though.

Lovely video. You’re making great progress on Rejoice Evermore. I have the chart and am so tempted to start it but I already have a couple of big samplers in the works. What fabric count did you choose and how many strands of thread? I enjoyed hearing about your holidays to the Lake Dustrict. Happy memories! The Halloween SAL will be fun and Halloween will be here before we know it the way the weeks fly. Happy stitching, Margaret

Thank you Margaret. I’m stitch8ng Rejoice Evermore on 32 count zweigart linen in Platinum and using just one strand over 2. It’s a beautiful chart to stitch.

It’s an Elbesee easy clip frame. I really like it and they’re very budget friendly.
