Hi Annette... great video! I have the same stand as you have, and have a tip for you. The wing nuts that are used to tighten the clamp were hard for me to use on the bottom of the clamp, so I took the screws out and turned them the other way, with the wing nuts on the top of the clamp. It's much easier to tighten/untighten them on the top. I also replaced the wing nuts with larger black turn knobs that are the same as on the side of the arm. Makes it even easier to turn now. Thanks for the carpet non-skid idea, I'll give that a try with my scroll bar!

That's a good idea to turn them the other way! And the black knob - that will help. I think I will turn them. Great idea! Thanks for commenting 😁🪡

Thank you Annette, for videoing your process in finishing the back of the stitching. I enjoyed the way you showed where to and how to loosen the knob on the stand. I'm also stitching Jeanette Douglas design on gridded fabric as my eyes are old and it's very difficult to keep my place. Also I noticed the placement on the chart changed each month so thank you for pointing that out. I enjoy your videos. Thank you
@annettesneedles
@annettesneedles 2 жыл бұрын
I'm happy you liked it! I hope it helped. Yes, the grid. I was dissappointed when I realized in March my placement was off, but then the next month, I realized the grid isn't consistent each month. So, I'm thinking the border page grid is the one I'll follow, then just line up my bouquets with that. I hope that makes sense. It is a pretty design and a fun one to look forward to each month! Thank you for commenting. ☺

As always this is a great video, I very much appreciate seeing the solutions you come up with to problems you encounter, especially your use of objects you already have or are cheap I just wanted to say that I would be careful about using staples if preserving the entire piece is important to you since they can often leave rust marks behind. I know they're being placed in the back and on the border so it might not be of concern, but it's something to keep in mind
@annettesneedles
@annettesneedles 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your kind comment. I really hadn't thought about the staples rusting! I appreciate the reminder. Back when my Dad and I were working on some stretcher bars, he used a staple gun and he always use the 'more expensive' staples. I didn't think about that until now but I'm thinking he used ones that wouldn't rust. Duh! I wish I had thought about it. This project isn't one I'm worrying about, and as you said, they are in an area that may not matter, but I will mention that in my next video. Thanks again for the reminder! ≁

Someone had told me that uses that stand they took a cork (like a bottle cork) and cut it in half and placed it between the top pcs of wood that holds the scroll or qsnaps and it keeps the frame from falling out.

What would be a good lap/table stand for QSnap portable? I have tried the pink and white frame from Amazon. It's good but not really for portability. I work 2 doubles and a single shift for my work. I take diamond painting. It's a lot to hall in, lol. I would like to do stamped cross stitch on my Thursday shirt shift. If I have to hold the QSnap frame for very long, my arm gets tired. I'm old lol. I have the floor stand I bought many many years ago. I wish that came in a table top version.

That's a hard question since it's so individualized. I travel with the K's creations table stand. I got it on Etsy. It folds down mostly flat. It works very well. I wish we could rent stands to see how they work 😉. 🪡☺️

Thanks

@annettesneedles 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for subscribing! My editing software and I are just getting to know each other. I have been using iMovie since I had an older Mac. But then it's age showed and Apple decided not to update anything on it anymore. :-( My son helped me to pick out a new HP PC so I'm learning to edit all over again - not my favorite thing. I downloaded ClipChamp and have done my last 2 with that. I am watching tutorials on KZbin for that. Whew, a lot to learn - again. ;-) I was actually using Zoom and opened up a private meeting and pressed record for my earlier Videos, then took them into iMovie to edit. With ClipChamp, I can record and edit all in one app. I am using the free version for now and that may be enough for me. Thank you for commenting. ...I love sitting out on the porch and watching/listening to KZbin while stitching or knitting. I will be sad when it's too cold to do that!
