This will be fun! Had a series of small strokes over last few years and just resuming stitching after a 2 year break! I am 72 and in assisted living and having trouble staying positive. At least my support cat can live with me but I do miss my home and antiques and my full collection of cross stitch!! Now ive found something to be excited for!! You are a treasure!!!

That must be so hard for you! I'm so glad your health has improved so you can stitch again. Stitching is so therapeutic and meditative. And Christmas stitching is so lovely and fun! Love it!! 1. I am like you and stitch in and and prefer a softer cloth vs stiff/crunchy 😅. I would swap the fabric over to the other one. You will enjoy it more. I re started a Valentine’s Day chart in January of this year to an evenweave and in about the same amount of time stitched on the crunchy cloth - I was soo much further along. I also want to stitch this now haha. 2. I started this whenever it came out. I really like the blue that you currently have it on. I stitching mine on the call for though because I struggle with changing cloth colors 😅. I will be pulling mine out to stitch this Christmas. The one with the mugs I want to do now because they are so cute! And that last one I really hope gets released soon because it is adorable and I love Cathy’s designs about as much as I love Primrose cottage designs. ❤

Thanks so much! Yes I think you're right and I will change the fabric for Tiny Modernist's Christmas Terrarium to the evenweave. And it's funny everyone has told me that they love the blue of Welcome to the North Pole...it's almost made me wonder if I should keep going with it. Oh well, I have till December to decide. The Shannon Christine Cups of Cheer mugs are gorgeous! I've never stitched her patterns yet so I'll be excited to stitch my first one! And I know Cathy is an amazing designer. I'm really drawn to her designs too but it's so hard to get paper patterns here and that's why the Jingle Ball is so exciting because she has pdfs! Happy Stitching :)

My gosh, you have some super cute ones in that collection...most of my Christmas stuff is more Victorian or religious themed. I especially like that tree. This will be something to look forward to now that the Halloween stitch along is through. What fun that was. I guess I will see you at the Jingle Ball. It's my first time. I'm not taking any classes, just hanging around and stitching.

I’m looking forward to your 25 Days of Christmas! I stitched Welcome to the North Pole last year with the DMCs, and I loved it. I don’t think it suffered at all (but I don’t care about variegation).

I am going to do Christmas Calendar with you on 18-count Pearl Gray aida, Holly Jolly Santa on 14-count Vintage Oat aida, Winter Band Sampler on 16-count White Chocolate aida so all 3 of these are by Tiny Modernist. I may start Ice Cardinal on 14-count Black aida by Dimensions Kit. Love your 12 Christmas Patterns that you picked. Can not wait to see you stitch on all of them. Happy Stitching.

I have to ask, coming from the uk where it’s cold at Christmas, is it weird stitching winter Christmas things when you’re in summer? I notice you didn’t have any stitches with Santa in his shorts!

Thanks so much! I know what you mean with the summer Santas. Because we have Christmas in July (in winter) I get to put my Christmas cross stitch out again, so I enjoy it twice a year. I love the more traditional Christmas so I guess that's what I stitch. I'll have to have a look for an Australian Christmas pattern though because I should have at least one.
