I enjoyed this! I had watched about 3/4 of it before I realized you were stitching with your left hand (I’m a rightie). But it was easy to adapt the method to right hand stitching. Thank you, and that sampler is lovely. Maybe on my “wish list”!

Thank you . Your Tutorial are the best and you explain it so well, I learned the pin stitch from watching your Tutorial.. I understand the sewing method this video helped understand it so much more, but I have such trouble with stitching in hand.. One thing you said I don't understand about stitching with a hoop or qsnap how you have to turn the fabric over everytime? I never turn my fabric over like that only time I turn my qsnap or hoop over is when I bury my thread if I don't use the ending pin stitch.
@mischievousstitches Жыл бұрын
Hi Norma! Thanks for your kind words. About the Q-snap stitching, I was referring to the poke and snap method of stitching on a Q-snap. Does this explanation help?
@normajean8105 Жыл бұрын
@@mischievousstitches Hi thank you for you’re reply, I’m stitching with a qsnap right now with the so called poke and stab method 🤣 ( that term sounds awful to me it just cross stitching lol ) and only time I turn it over is at the end of my thread to bury it.
@mischievousstitches Жыл бұрын
That is true. The terminology needs to improve. 😂

Hi Lorie, thank you so much. It is a very clear video. My question is if you do a sampler that has a larger piece of fabric how do you manage it when stitching in hand.?
@mischievousstitches Жыл бұрын
I keep the fabric rolled in my right hand. If that becomes unmanageable, I will often flip the fabric and stitch inside down. The stitches will be in the same direction if done this way.
@barbarawest1205 Жыл бұрын
This was very helpful - easy to see, and it just registered with me that you are a left-handed stitcher! (Like I am.) I prefer a single strand of floss, too; this means I need to convince myself that sometime soon I need to try 16/32 or 18/36 fabric. I find that with 2 strands on 14/28, I often need to railroad my top leg of each stitch. I've experimented a bit, and for me it seems very fiddly to combine sewing and railroading. Do you use those techniques together? I think this may be another hint to me that I need to go up in my fabric count on my next project. UPDATE: I just subscribed and when I went to your video list, I spotted your video on railroading. I haven't watched it yet, but I realize it's possible that you answered my question in it!

I am happy that you found the video helpful, and hope that the railroading video will help you as well. Have a lovely weekend!
