Great live band - the vibe was massive! Stage invasions at both gigs I went to. Shame it ended too soon, RIP the Mahers brothers.

@@johntuvey3636 alright John, I know it’s a bit of a late question mate 🤣, but my uncle was in that band, he’s still around but haven’t seen him for a while. He said the fame came to soon, and so did the drugs. The guitarist Micky was my uncle.

I don't think moving to Manchester would have made much difference. They had a couple of groovy tunes but were they in the same league as the Roses, Mondays, Charlatans, Inspiral Carpets. I don't think so.
@johntuvey36365 жыл бұрын
Firstly moving up north or being from London made no difference, we was a band in our own right, we had many problems that was the real reason it ended so soon for us, some relationships work and some dont in our case it didnt.. Shame because id say we was brilliant, the roses had been a unit for many a year and so the Mondays, we was a unit for less then a year yep a year, and look what we did And by the way, where's your music brother songs you wrote etc,, im only playing with you...

@@johntuvey3636 I saw you at the mean fiddler and supporting madness and blockheads i tink? you shat all over the roses and mondays mate. rest assured. and rip the brothers.

John, things go the way they do. it's just a shame you're not in the music business right now. But if you consider how fucking crazy we used to be in the 90's, it's damn ok just to be here. Thanks for the good vibes you and the guys gave me.

@@johntuvey3636 i remember busking bass in the west end, & this guy slightly high came over told me he was in a band with a guaranteed record deal called "" Flowered Up"" & he wanted Me to be the bass player , he left a note to go to a place in camden i went to the place & only to find it was a massive warehouse rave , searched through the crowd only to find Maxi Jazz sitting on a sofa with a friend ( just found out the friend passed away, "thus the comment") i never found the band or they guy it was just before or during the time "Faithless" feat Maxi Jazz was being formed the DJ btw only had "one deck" in the main room , he was playing specalized ragga reggae ,But, it was 100% so loud all people were dancing twice as fast to it ? i am not a DJ, yet some DJs have told me it was probably an early (one of the 1st ) Drum & Bass type gigs cheers & RIP guys, Maxi Jazz"s friend helped me learn bass in my early years
