I’m not a flower farmer, but I grow a pretty amazing garden of veggies and flowers. Watching this reminded me that I haven’t made a bouquet since my friend Lisa passed from cancer 6 weeks ago. I’m going to make myself a bouquet. Maybe I’ll make an extra one for my neighbor. Time to walk around the garden.

Its nice to see you teaching your kids a love for reading. I did that with mine too they used to love to go when they were small and through probably middle school. I am doing the consignment type program with a health food store in my small town and surprisingly 2 small cafe type places. They all do really well. I like that I can decide what goes in each week and if for some reason I am short on stuff I am not under pressure to produce. I love the quote if you are not composting flowers you are not producing enough. Also you are very spot on about being reliable/ consistent. I have people that know I will be bringing flowers in on a certain day and come that day to get the freshest. At the cafes I have the owners put the flowers in their walk in or fridge overnight to hold them longer. But usually they will go in the first couple days. I have had a few weird weeks where almost nothing sold at the stores but you have to just keep bringing stuff in. Then other weeks everything goes. It's is just the way of it. One question- where are you getting your black buckets and what sizes do you like. And do you get buckets back from the florists when they come for pick up. One of my places has become the black hole of buckets. Thank you for all your hard work. P.s. harvested 2 of the biggest Benarys Giant coral zinnias this morning that I have ever seen. Pretty amazing.

My daughter works at a flower shop and one of their suppliers brings flowers in buckets. She asked them to set them aside for her and she picks them up the next week when she comes back with new flowers.

Love you and you know what?I am planning to have a cut flower farm as well!You really inspired me!I am staying home mom and my boy just started to go to kindergarten,husband works half time overseas so I really don’t have many options,I raise show pigs,chicken and ducks,now I am buying all kinds of cut flower seeds to test them out.I am in Texas zone 9,with big enough property but mainly black clay😂,planing to do no dig garden with mushroom compost,small town as well and I am terrified.The idea started with receiving wild little flowers from my boy pretty much everyday and to compete,my husband got me two sets of $200 bouquets for anniversary,they are so pretty but so expensive and I started digging in the market and price 😂,then I found you and others but you are my absolute favorite!

Roses ! You are missing on roses! Florebunda varieties work very well. Long stems, repeat flowering, most of them are hardy and disease resistant, smell gorgeously, wide spectrum of colours and shapes, 10-15 days vase life. So think about it. (Try it you will love it 😂😍🥰💐)
