We love watching the honey flow.... it never gets old. There was one little bee that was a bit too interested in the honey flow and she fell into the jar. Mirabai our bee spy rescued her and you can see her happily finishing off her honey feed from Mira's fingertip 🐝🍯💛

My 7 frame Cedar Flow Hive 2 fell apart within few days of MILD South New Jersey USA in May of 22. This company treated me like a stupid idiot and NOT replaced the over priced broken items.

​ @nancylee3534 They didn't even invent it anyway, The inventor, Juan Garriga, lived in Spain and submitted the patent on August 8, 1939. The patent was approved on December 3, 1940. They just cipied the design and used none environmental friendly plastic instead of metal.!

Close to when the "Flow Hive," was invented I was so into the cool idea. I should have invested into it, since it is worldwide now and very popular. The only potentially bad effect would ve that the Bee's not making a wax frame may effect them weirdly.

@@judd_s5643 More like bee vomit since it is half digested. Some of the best foods are kinda gross. Blue cheese is awesome mold eaten, digested and pooped cheese with the dead mold included; yogurt is milk with a lot of bacteria doing the same; and any kind of meat its just a decaying carcass that we just cook right on time so it is delicious.- Gross and delicious food for a gross species like us, but hey, at least we're not dung beetles lol

Fun fact. If a beekeeper overharvests, the bees just up and leave. The hive is an attractive home because it’s convenient and pre built. If the cost isn’t worth that convenience, they can and will leave

I can’t eat much honey due to diabetes but I can have a little and since my sugar levels keep dropping really low, I’m planning to start my day with honey on toast with peanut butter. Bees rarely find their way into empty beehive boxes, even though they are designed to be a perfect home for them. Harvesting honey with Flow Frames is a gentle process which is designed to reduce the disturbance to the bees. Having the moving blade inset slightly means that once the bees build it out the movement happens deeper within the honeycomb. This often means the capping stays intact as the honey drains out, leaving the bees with less disturbance.
