FLOWMASTER SUPER 10's (INSANE DIFFERENCE)

Hey guys! In this video I reveal my new exhaust set-up. I replaced my Flowmaster 40 Series mid-mufflers with Flowmaster Super 10's and additionally had Carven Exhaust Tips welded on as well. The Super 10's do not disappoint and the tips added a beautiful new sound to the Charger. These Carven Tips are meant to be clamp ons, but I loved them so much and had to have them; my exhaust shop was able to make it work and use a larger diameter pipe after the rear axle. Mine had 3.75" pipes. Long tube headers, High flow cats, H-Pipe, two original 40s, no resonators, and it sounded like a 5.0HO 80s Mustang. It was awesome.

I've had the same Flowmaster Super 10 for the last 10 years. It was on my 2004 Dodge Ram Hemi, sounded great, and everyone who would hear it coming would expect an old muscle car. On my 2020 Ram with a Hemi, it sounds insane. The idle sounds like a Hellcat, W.O.T. sounds amazing. Well that's if you like unadulterated aggressive sound. The best muffler I ever bought.

I run a mid muffler delete and rear muffler delete. Had the 40 series flow master installed in the mid duals out the back. It’s 3 years old and has no leaks and has gotten a nice deep sound too them finally. Stock tips . 2013 challenger R/T. With a K/N drop in air filter. But I have been in the fence about getting the super 10’s . Also getting different tips I like the quad look . Was thinking flowmaster burnt chrome look they have. Thanks for the input bud . I think I might jump over .

I got a 83 T.A with a built 355 mild racing cam and lifters bored over .30 Holly performance intake Holly 750 4 barrel carburetor hooker headers what duel exhaust should I run from the hooker headers mine was stonen sucks but what mufflers sound the best?

I got the flow monster knockoff’s on eBay for $36 bucks a fraction of the cost of a flowmaster I have them on a 2010 3.5 V6 Honda accord with N1 style mufflers on both sides I use the flow monster as middle one I removed the third dummy at the cat with no O2 sensor and I gutted all three of them the car is definitely more responsive and free flowing i installed mini catalytic converters on my downstream O2 sensors to keep the CEL off

They do have a little drone when sitting at a certain rpm, and yes they both do get louder after break-in!

@@BrannAutoMedia I want this on my 16 V6. Is the drone annoying with the res delete? Thinking if I should stick some vibrant bottles on in place of stock resonators with the 10s. Also how does it sound with non aggressive driving in town. 45-55mph occasional lights.

@@patgraeme775 it did change sound after running them for a little bit, and if you see on flow masters website, there are a couple of v shaped walls/baffles in the muffler creating a chamber

Nice sound, I actually like drone and vibration in car, I have original 40s dumped under my axle on my Challenger rt. Do you think I would lose any of my interior drone/vibration by switching to the super 10s? Also do you think it would still be as deep sounding? My car vibrates the ground right now it is so deep. Hey! 10's would definitely make it more towards the raspier side compared to my 40's that had a deeper tone before. I don't know if the drone would go away, it's tough to guess

05 6.4L hemi magnum with SLP loud mouth mufflers, X-pipe, high flow cats. At @ 2k rpm (70mph) the drone was unbearable, and every piece of plastic inside resonated like an angry bee. 60mph no worries. 80mph no worries. 70mph ack!

I would think that it would definitely sound similar to mine, depending on your model. I mean my car is essentially straight piped after the cats, minus the Super 10's. I have nothing else after the Super 10's to muffle any sound.

I went from mid delete, to res delete straight piped, was loud and dirty as fk (which I kind of liked)... so I then slapped some Super 10s in the mids, sounded cleaner and did lessened the loudness a bit, like no longer dirty and raspy... but I'm starting to miss that straight pipe dirtiness now. Might sell the super 10s 😄

They might make the super 10s with different inlet and outlet diameters! If you can find one I would highly recommend them!

Try talking to your local exhaust shop. They might be able to customize something for you! Pretty much from the mid mufflers back is all custom work for me! They put in the The flowmaster super 10s as the mid mufflers and then custom work back and ended up welding on my tips as well, even though they were meant for bolt on, I wanted those exact tips so they made it work!

I had an exhaust shop do a custom setup, took off mid mufflers and rear resonators. Replaced the mid mufflers with the pair of super 10s, and just pipe out the back after that, straight out with the tips

I don't know how the 300 is set up, but the super 10s replaced my MID muffler, and we're recommended by the exhaust shop, to do them in the middle rather than replace the rear resonator with the super 10s. For sound quality they recommended that...they do them all the time, and also I heard plenty of videos of having them replaced as the mid muffler and that's the sound I was going for, I removed the rear resonators on mine and have it go straight back because I wanted a little more volume. I do have a little bit of drone at certain rpm's but the sound is great. I believe that the purpose of the super 10 is to replace the actual muffler itself, and if you don't want drone, you could probably keep the rear resonators

@@natebingreenin780 I got mine through an exhaust shop and they ordered mine for me, but Autozone stocks flowmaster mufflers, so maybe they can look up the part number for your model year? I don't know if its the same inlet and outlet shape for the 2006 Chargers. Sorry I couldn't be more help!

I am not aware of the legality of replacing your exhaust parts in Pennsylvania, I would double check your local laws for modifying your vehicle, some states are a little more picky than others when it comes to exhaust modification! Some of the flowmasters I don't think would draw any attention, but on the box some of them say they are for off-road use only, which hints that they would probably attract the police for sound more.

Maybe I wasn’t paying attention b/c my daughter was talking to me but I thought your diagram was saying you had carven mid mufflers. If not, yea get rid of the mids with super10s at the rear to replace the resonators… you’ll live it, neighbors will hate you especially with a cold start 😂 (Speaking from experience) Gonna make her a little louder with kooks long tubes and a Magnuson 😳

Flowmasters are actually "tuned" to drone as some like that, me not so much. I had mid deletes with the resonators on and it was nice but at times a bit too raspy, so i put the 10s on and it is perfect on my Scat Pack. The 10s give some nasty snarl but the resonators keep it civilized ;

The Super 10s gave it a much raspier bite on the high end and even the gurgle at idle is definitely different! Now that they are worn in, there is a major difference!

the 40 are larger cant you see? If you cant hear the difference, you might have a hearing problem. The super 10s are much more aggresive and slightly louder in the video.
