There are 8 DIP switches on the Logix 3800 positioner: air action (air-to-open or air-to-close); actuator operation (double-acting or single-acting); positioner characterization (linear or other); auto tune (on or off); Quick Calibration (auto or jog); valve friction (lo or hi); signal at closed (4 mA or 20 mA); and HART communication (HART 6 or HART 7).
