HOW TO JUMP ON INLINE SKATES - Part 5 - 180
One eighties are an important skill for all city skaters. A one eighty is a very useful jump because landing backwards is the best technique for landing big jumps.
0:22 Step 1 - Practise in your shoes or socks. Scissor with surfer arms. Right foot in front and right arm in front. Or, vis versa, left foot and left foot in front. Practise pivoting on your toes without moving your head. Then add in a small jump with the same toe pivot movement.
3:10 Step 2 - Practise in your skates on grass. Follow the same steps as in step 1.
3:45 Step 3 - Practise rolling with your body in the scissor and surfer arms position. Bend you knees and flex your ankles so your shin bone is pushing into the tongue of your skates. Rise up and push with your toes and get your heels off the ground. One this is comfortable, try the toe pivot. Always focus on your head position. Try not move your head.
4:13 Step 5 - Warm up the one eighties with a few small hops in the scissor, surfer arm position. When you are feeling confident go for the one eighty. Push off with your toes and pivot as you take off. Make sure your head is looking at the landing the entire time.
Thanks for watching.

Shop Task lol thanks.. Seriously though, I'm not trying to be mean, but like, I got a thumbs down on my channel the other day, but no reason given, and I'm like, why not tell me? It's not like I mind that someone isn't bowled over by my skating experiences, (I'm still learning), but I even mention in my "About" that "constructive criticism is welcome". If you don't like something I did, or didn't do, tell me why, right? If you were just bored by my content, or maybe thought it just wasn't for you, easy enough to move on. But when you hit that "dislike", it's courteous to state why, so I can either learn from it, or decide I can safely ignore it because it's not a valid critique. That's all. I just love to skate, and I like to share my learning experiences, for myself, and for other skaters to maybe learn from, or be inspired by.

I live in California and whenever I ride my fr1's everyone looks at me sideways. I haven't seen but a couple people so far on inline skates. I used to skate when I was a kid and loved it and now being 34 I thought why not get back into it. I absolutely love it. Shaun you inspire me to want to be better. I practice everyday and watch alot of your videos and learned alot from you. I really appreciate it. I would love to come skate in Canada where inline skating looks like the norm there. Thanks again

Thanks as always Shaun! This is a very helpful one for me as now I'm graduating to practicing stalls for grinds. Getting to that fakie position and getting out will be almost key to keeping my flow at a park or waxed area. I also agree with some previous comments as to a 'how to jump while skating backwards". But on a lighter note, maybe some bloopers? *edit from just after a skate on Friday Aug 25* Thank you Shaun and Shop Task! I have reached, what I believe is a milestone for myself today. I have managed to string together a number heel pops and toe pushes in a very small space. Admittedly, it was within my "practice zone" which is flat and generally smooth but I feel this is an achievement in itself. I hope to soon apply these on the choppy streets of Stouffville as readily as I do it in my "practice zone ".

Good elements in your lesson. Great athleticism. Have you considered learning to soften your landings instead in order to reduce the impact on your joints and the joints of your learners? (Softening landings are standard in skiing, snowboarding, and among my level 3 inline skate instructor friends.) Always lots of elements in your videos for most skaters to aspire to.
@FlowSkate

Great videos. I would like to ask something in order to understand it better, as I am very new to the sport. When doing a 180, I start with the right foot forward and should land with my left foot forward as with this tutorial. (When I say X foot forward I mean by the perspective of me looking down at my feet, and not which foot is in front of the movement) I am used to 180 on bmx, where you start with right foot forward and land with right foot forward too. Is this bad to do on rollerblades? One thing that confused me even more, is that on your next video (Quick tip - how to late 180...) you mention that we can have the same foot forward on the 180, but you have the left foot forward while rotating to the left too, and it seems very wrong to me. So I like to have my right foot forward, do a 180 to the left, and still have my right foot forward. Is this bad? If I want to go down some stairs going backwards, can I do it having the right foot forward? It seems so weird that I have to get down some stairs using my left foot forward because I have to switch them on the 180. Isn't it harder? Thanks a lot for your time

Q. I guess all that aggressive skating is great fun for you, but have you considered the impact it may have on you when you hit 50+ and still intend to skate? Your knees are your shocks, but like any hard driving they could be liable to quicker wear and tear. Only as you get older you become more prudent with health and body.

Similar technique but a few differences. I usually will use a mohawk transition when going back to front. To jump from back to front I would break it down like this: Approach - Feet scissored, surfer arms. Same as the landing in the 180 video. Jump - Weight on second wheel, strong toe push. Rotation - Rotate the direction of the leading foot and arm. If you are a looking over your left shoulder then your left foot should be leading and you should rotate to your left. Close your trailing arm so it comes in front of your body. Landing - Aim for a stomp landing but be ready to save the landing with quick inside edge lemon.

Q:👱🏻‍♀👱🏽‍♀ How life would be without (women)?!! For every girl & for every women, I say: You are the beauty of life. 🌞🌜You are the sun and the moon in every home. A woman is the mercy and the gentleness harshness Q: How much a woman is very important in our life? 1st. They are the reason of our existence. 2nd .🤱🤱They are our mothers. 3rd . They are our sisters. # They are the half of the society, and the other half is who women taking care of= MEN # When it comes to loyalty in marriage, wives win. That's why Life without Wife like 50 without 5 Sadly & unfortunately, there is a great violence and abuse against a woman. I don’t mean (the physical abuse). I mean, a woman is given a bad picture by some media and commercials; they undervalue & underestimate her by using her badly to gain money through exposing her inappropriately and other stuff like that. For them, a woman has become like goods/items in the market for those who pay more. In other words, they see a woman just like a sexualized object! They’re just focusing on a girl in her youth stage/period, but once she gets old, they neglect her; Just like the gum: You chew it, then you throw it! Honestly speaking, many campaigns and convections stand for women’s rights resulted in: abortion, same sex marriage and other things I fell shay to mention. Those bad kinds of men claim they want the freedom for women, but in fact, they want the free approach to women. Woman’s rights R not from humans, they are from her creator Finally, we came to the last part of this article. This is the most exciting part! (Women in Islam Religion) Note: If anyone wants to judge (women’s rights) in Islam, she or he should not judge according to what Muslim society does. The women’s rights in Islam should be based on the 2 authentic sources of Islam: 1st The holy Quran (is the Divine Book of Muslim). 2nd The Sunna of the prophet. So, if someone asks what Islam is? Simply, it is a way of life. Islam has raised the status of women and honored her more than any religion; Do you know that every Muslim woman is inheriting ; it is one of her basic rights to inherit what her parents or husband or relatives left after their death!! (Islam) took a great care of women in all stages of her life, here are few examples: •As in her childhood👧🏼, any father takes care of his daughters and treat them kindly; there will be a great reward waiting for him; his daughters will be the reason for him to be admitted in the Paradise (Heavenly Gardens)!! •A Woman in Islam as a mother, the right of the mother is far greater than the right of the father . A man came to Prophet Mohamed (the final and merciful Prophet)and said ,I.e. the man, "Who among people is most deserving of my best treatment?" He said, "Your mother". He again asked, ''Who next?" "Your mother", the Prophet replied again. He asked, "Who next?" He said again, "Your mother." He again asked, "Then who?" then your father, then your nearest, then your nearest." Why is a mother having this great status over the father? Because: A mother, who used to hold you And clean you and clothes you A mother, who used to feed you And always be with you When you were sick She stay up all night Holding you tight Cause who used to hear you Before you could talk Cause who used to hold you Before you could walk And when you cry Who wiped your tears? Knows your fears Who really cares? your mother Islam keens on the stability and safety of the family. Because the family is the primary factor in forming the social entity. Islam gives a special care for a woman. Women's corruption is greater than the corruption of the young man, because it will become a mother and the corruption of the mother means the corruption of bringing up the child who in the future will become a young man or a corrupt man and this means the society completely becomes corrupt. That's why some media are focused on women. A woman in Islam is like a princess👰🏻. And when she gets old, she become like a queen👸. Media can make a cat like a lion. Media can make you to hate what you like, and to like what you hate (if and only if) you believe anything without checking from the original sources. The easiest way to destroy your enemy is to destroy the reputation. If you have a pain in your tooth, you will go to the dentist, not to the engineer. Same goes for Islam, Ask Muslim about Islam. Things go like this. After you have read all the above, I leave you to compare between them. Try once in life to listen in KZbin to #Quran_recitation www.islamswomen.com www.islamhouse.com
