Thanks for the video explaining how it works. Really great concept and very practical. I have an intex 34c with the flowsmart 50 installed. It has randomly started to give me a reduced flow for domestic hot water. Boiler works fine and I have hot water and central heating, also cold water pressure is unchanged. Could a faulty blending valve possibly cause to reduced hot water pressure? All domestic hot water outlets suffer from this poor flow. On a side note, what number should the blending valve be set to? Is there a chart to follow?

Hi Andy. We're pleased to hear you found the video useful. Regarding your query - although uncommon, we'd say that a faulty blending valve could possibly cause pressure drop across the hot water outlet of a FlowSmart. More common is a blocked inlet filter or scaled domestic plate heat exchanger. We would recommend this kind of issue is systematically investigated. The FlowSmart blending valve should be adjusted to give an outlet temperature of 35 degrees C (typically measured using a surface contact thermometer). If you need anything clarified further, please give us a call.

Jonathan what controls the thermal store in that set up it looks like the store heat is taken from the boiler before the htg zone valve, is there any piping diagrams

Hi Anthony, this particular example uses Alpha's 3 port diverter kit and a Climatic controller to give time and temperature control over the Flowsmart thermal store. There are several examples of controls options shown in the installation instructions you can download direct from Alpha's website www.alpha-innovation.co.uk/products/FlowSmart/FlowSmart/1836534677
