When you put the white on top, in my head i was screaming "Nooooooo!" Loved the colours before all the white and then there was a white overkill. Luckily you added some more colours :)

I started to paint abstract about a month ago and i love to use a squeegee,i also love to use a scraper. I would of taken off more of the white it hid a lot of texture and effects. I really love this piece,seeing the finished piece with the tape removed would be great. You now have a new subscriber.

Wow! I had never seen somebody actually show how to do this type of art before and it is so liberating compared to everything I had ever done before. I usually have to be so careful about where I place my paint and watching you squeegee the canvas has just got to be one of the most surprising things I’ve seen an artist do. I love how the artwork turned out and it looked like you had a great time doing it too. Thank you for sharing this technique in your wonderful video! Take care! 🙌🙌🙌

What a coincidence. I've just begun painting and my better half got me a squigee to clean the windows which happened to be lying near my art material.I was contemplating how comfortable it would be to spread the paint with this rather than laboring with the palette knives...did one painting with those, struggled and changed it from abstract to landscape ....thanks for the pointers and demonstration.

Beautiful 🎉🎉 Question Can I use Kiltz paint / primer the color Graywood on a stretched gesso pre-primed canvas as the paint? Then after it dries paint in big strokes a titanium white color ( acrylic of course) Wanted to do a project for someone who gave me a picture of an acrylic painting, and it looks like it’s a greige color background with white wide strokes of white acrylic paint over it.. the graywood kiltz color is like a greige or tan color.. I get that abstract is very subjective but IMO there still needs to be some conceptual idea,and I think the overuse of white absolutely took away to much from all the possibilities of the “underpainting “
@LordZontar3 жыл бұрын
Can't help thinking the same thing. The end result in my view looks like an unfinished canvas. There's a lot to be said for the philosophy of less being more. The white along with at least two other bright contrasting colours should have been used for accents here and there.
@petetrace0312 жыл бұрын
Did you remove the canvas from the stretch frame and tape it to a solid surface?

I’ve been feeling a tad artsy farts of late n started watching tubers….plus rearranging furniture n “trying” to get house in some decent kind of order. Can’t afford to really Reno an d plus once you wanna do one thing, often you have to then do 4 others as they all affect each Reno area. Soooo art may be they way

"Really love the how this lower left section looks" - Proceeds to annihilate the lower left section. Fortunately, Art is subjective. I would advise to create a safe point with some lacquer over the section, next time. This way you can get the white off more easily (it won't soak as easily into the fabric), and even use some acrylic paint remover (if you use non acrylic lacquer), if it dries to fast on you. Anyway, thank you for the video, it was educational.

I love the areas with the colors & hard lines u created giving the areas a dimensional look. Like u could crawl in2 those areas. I do not like all the white. I honestly believe u should've muted more of the white area, wiping more of it off. Exposing more of the paint underneath possibly fading 8 2 the white. I'D have 2 think about it more.

Great work of art! Music was good too but I did have the constantly adjust the volume while watching. The music was much louder than you were so I was constantly raising the volume so I could clearly hear what you were saying and then turn the volume back down quickly when the music started back louder, especially in the first half. Not a deal breaker but was a bit distracting. But again, GREAT WORK OF ART!

Hi there! This is a beautiful piece. I really don't know much about your process, but why are you using a paper towel to wipe off your paint? Sincerely, I'm not being a smartass. That's the problem with text, you can't tell tone. But it's a sincere question. Thank you for sharing this amazing piece!!
@LordZontar3 жыл бұрын
Quite a few abstract artists use the paper towel as a tool. For a start, it's cheap. But for a deeper reason, you get some interesting fade and texturing effects and it helps to soak up excess paint.
