I have been in the pest control business for 36 years, FlowZone is a great sprayer, I’m sure you have improved by now but, just a suggestion, work on the application method. I saw you kind of waving the wand back and forth, try adjusting your walking speed and keep the tip of the wand steady, you will better coverage. Also when you broadcast spray the lawn, don’t walk over the part you sprayed, walk backwards and do 6 foot overlapping passes, to ensure complete coverage. Also when mixing the pesticides, fill the tank half way with water then pour in the material, then stick the tip of the wand in the water and run it to mix the it up instead of shaking the whole back pack, the fill up the rest.

Possibly? Could also be a faulty pump. Give the battery a full charge and see what happens and go from there.

I've had this exact same model for over 2 summers at least. I've used it A LOT every Monday‐Friday. Never had an issue. It's a beast and I'd be pissed without it. I do have an important question though... is the battery okay to STAY on the charger or does it need to come off when 100% charged?
@JimmyLewisMows4 жыл бұрын
That’s a good question. Honestly I’m not sure. I usually leave it plugged in until I’m ready to use it and it’s been fine.
@joshuachilders1294 жыл бұрын
@@JimmyLewisMows That's the way Ive been doing it since I've had it. When I know its low, ill leave it plugged in over night even though I know its been at max charge till I unplug it before I head out.

I'm interested in getting the typhoon 2. What would be the best setting for spraying fertilizer and herbicides? Higher or lower pressure? Or doesnt matter as long as you are putting down the right rate?
@JimmyLewisMows4 жыл бұрын
It really comes down to your preferred walking speed. The variable rate means you can pretty much customize it for yourself. Personally, I tend to run it on max pressure when doing fertilizer apps on the lawn, and then I turn it down when spraying pest control products around the perimeter of the house, and when spot treating weeds in the lawn.
@brianyoung36514 жыл бұрын
@@JimmyLewisMows thanks for the reply. Having the variable pressure was confusing me a bit and what applications it work best for.

@JJ-pg4ud4 жыл бұрын
So, does the average DIY homeowner really need 80-115 psi ($367)? Do they really need the variable speed? After looking at the site there is a significant price difference between the different models. Just wondering if the $233 unit will suffice.
@JimmyLewisMows4 жыл бұрын
Totally agree with you. The other models will absolutely suffice.
@joeydelrio4 жыл бұрын
whats the difference between the FZSAAJ and FZSAAK models?
@JimmyLewisMows4 жыл бұрын
Great question. The cyclone (FZSAAJ) is dual pressure switch between 45psi and 60psi. The Typhoon 2V (FZSAAK) is a variable pressure dial that you can adjust between 8psi and 115psi. The Typhoon will also spray further. Here are specs for each: Cyclone: www.fzspray.com/online-store/Cyclone-2-Dual-Pressure-Sprayer-4-Gallon-p138076422 Typhoon: www.fzspray.com/online-store/Typhoon-2V-Variable-Pressure-Sprayer-4-Gallon-p129781078

For the average joe, is there a reason to get the 2V over the 2 since there is about a $70 difference? Does the average joe need 115 PSI? This would mostly be used for bio-stims and occasional liquid fert.

Question for you, Jimbo....why the Typhoon and not just get the Cyclone? The difference is the variable pressure vs 2-speed, right?...which is $140! For what sort of app do you see yourself using 115 psi? Their site lists a few other "dispensable" benefits like quicker recharge time, ~5 extra feet of spray distance, more GPM.... Just curious why you went that route. (Also, I caught the part where you mention that FZ sent it to you.). Cool video. Thanks, señor.

I'm still not thrilled with my Ortho Dial-N-Spray. I'd like to hear your opinion on the FlowZone Cyclone (even though its not the one your talking about). Typhoon is a bit $$ considering I just want to spray my lawn with it. I may try my 20:1 amazon spray bottles (this weekend) for liquid fungicide and Humic. Last year I think I was using 7:1 bottles and they clogged all too often. This is why I think I'd like to try a pump sprayer, its either flowing or its not. Just want to get the right one $$.

The hose end sprayers are hit and miss. They each have their own little pros and cons. I will say that they aren't the go to if you want a more accurate application. Flowzone's products are quality. I would recommend each of them at this point. Well designed and well built.

I have one and never regretted purchasing it. Worth every penny i spent on it!!! I'm a home owner and have gone thru Chapin and Solo sprayers and this by far, kicks Snowballs!!!! It really lives up to its name. Be nice if they had like a 6 to 9 gallon push sprayer that had a 5 nozzle main boom sprayer with an attachment hand held hose. So that you can go between large property sprayer or using a wand hand held sprayer that had like a 15 to 25 feet extension line attached to it. Keep the price under 300.00 if possible. Great Video Jimmy as always!!!!

@krismartel32404 жыл бұрын
Biggest tip is on the tank lid there is a black rubber pressure relief flap. If you accidentally push on it it will pop off and go into the tank. DO NOT reinstall it with the flap on top, only from the bottom. If you do the tank will suck in on itself like a water bottle and crack the tank.
