I've had my flow zone typhoon 2v for about 7 months. I've used it primarily to spray herbicides on a total of 18,000 square feet of lawn. I have had no issues in the past 7 months and the sprayer works great. I would highly recommend this sprayer to anyone interested in a backpack sprayer. Good build and availability of replacement parts on their website is a plus. Some folks may say it's a little expensive but I firmly agree with the statement that you get what you pay for.

I purchased one of these sprayers a few months ago after watching your unboxing video. I only have 3000 sqft. and i love it. Mine came with some upgraded thicker stripes and a thicker padded back support. I do wish it had some set positions on the dial. I just put some tape around the knob and put some marks at 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 turn.

Mine is only spraying 7ft? I did however not allow it to fully charge ?

The new models now have 5 pressure settings. I'm going to have to install a pressure valve on mine so that I know what pressure I am working with when using my TeeJets. I calibrated based on time and marked the settings on the sprayer, but a pressure gauge would still be better. The Flowzone and TeeJets nozzles are in a class of it's own for backpack spraying.

100% Agree. The Typhoon is a great sprayer but I always recommend the Tornado for the lawn.

I was thinking the variable pressure dial would be an issue with consistently applying too. Still haven’t purchased but would consider the two pressure model. Maybe next season, my spray bottles are still working well for now.

Does teejet have a non 45 degree adapter for the quick disconnect? I do pest control and do a lot of perimeter treatments.
@JimmyLewisMows3 жыл бұрын
Not sure that they do. If you have the flow zone sprayer it comes with an inline quick connect fan tip (green tip) and I use that for my pest control applications around the perimeter of my house. Works great.

So what you're saying is like spraying with the battery powered sprayer over the Ortho when using liquids like RGS/AIR8/Humic12 ?

Yup. You can mix all those and get them done in one application.

Good job reviewing this, Jimbo! Only big thing that screams out at me is that something that for the super expensive cost, that wand SHOULD NOT leak anything after you release the trigger. If I'm spraying something that needs a "surgical" application like PGR, the last thing I want is to have that happen.
@JimmyLewisMows4 жыл бұрын
Yeah it’s not a huge deal breaker, but I wanted to point it out. I’ve sprayed PGR with this sprayer several times. Haven’t had any negative responses with the lawn.

I do pressure washing on the side and was thinking about adding this sprayer to my lineup to spray bleach and surfactant through for certain situations. I love that it features quick connects and looks very well built, but my biggest concern would be leaking issues. Don't ever want to have high strength chlorine leak down your back and such. Do you think this is built well enough to prevent leakage other than from the nozzle? Thanks!
@JimmyLewisMows4 жыл бұрын
Absolutely built well enough. No other leaks found in my experience.

I finally used my FlowZone Typhoon 2v for the first time and loved it! I applied hydretain for my first liquid application and it was a breeze. If I apply a liquid fertilizer, does it need to be watered in within 24 hours? The bottle does not say anything about watering in (and I'm new to liquids so I want to be safe). FlowZone has improved the straps with the model I received, I also purchased their t jet nozzle and love it! It took over a month for the sprayer to get here because of Covid :(

Any fertilizer with nitrogen you should water in within 24 hours. That’s my advice anyways.

There are so many good ones out there. Strom seems to be another good option. Milwaukee with the separate tanks is also nice so you don't have to worry about glyphosate contamination. Personally, with 18k of area to take care of, I'd rather pay someone.
@JimmyLewisMows4 жыл бұрын
I'd probably consider the same with that much space, or a tow behind unit. I'd be interested in trying Milwaukee's sprayer. Strom and Flowzone are the same.

I tried to buy one of these sprayers form Flowzone this past May. I experienced the worst customer service by multiple employees. I typically buy the best tools I can afford. However, when it came to my sprayer I went with one of the cheaper versions. I bought the Storm 2 PRO Dual-Pressure Sprayer. It was $180. cheaper than their best model and has all the most important features. It uses the same quick disconnect wand/handle and accepts the same Tee-jet nozzles with quick disconnect fittings. The two position pressure toggle is easier to work with. I know what pressure settings I have available and I purchase nozzles that match my desired application rates in those pressure ranges. The only.....possible downside.....the tank is smaller. Then again my old sprayer held four gallons and it was so heavy I always under filled it. A full tank containing 4 gallons of water weighs over 33lbs. Not a terrible amount of weight until you try to maneuver it onto your back. I get pretty far with my 16lb tank and I don’t have to strain to get it on my back. I’m completely satisfied with my sprayer and I am glad I bought it and not the best they had to offer. Jimmy is right...the 2V is a lot for the average homeowner.
