People try to say OU had smaller DL players and that is why Grinch and TBOW failed No. it was the talent and the scheme. Grinch had two 300 lbs at USC and same results. Size and talent together is important and scheme.

People get caught up in the star ratings too much. Sure it means something when guys are highly rated. But there are plenty of guys that fly under the radr for one reason or another. Id love to get nothing but 5 stars but thats not reality. We have to trust the coaches evals.

I agree. Brandon talks way too much. His stories are getting annoying. He doesn’t get to the point and just goes on and on. Parker gets to the point and has way more info in a short amount of time of him talking of Brandon. Brandon acts like he knows it all and his stories are getting old. Josh McCuistion is way better than Brandon

I sure hope I can just watch the whole game and not feel completely hopeless when our defense is on the field. It's been so long that I have to get up and walk away from the TV when our defense is on the field cause I don't want to watch the other team go score and they do more times than not. Tcu scored on every possession last year

Well that’s just not true. We stopped them 6 times in the first half alone, got up 42-13 by halftime.

@claypennington602 I didn't say nothing about the first half. Lucky we scored all them points in the first half or we would have got our ass beat cause it is true they scored on every possession in the second half. It's also true we can't stop kansas from driving the field with under 2 minutes left for the win. We have to let them score to give our offense enough time to try and go win the game. We also lucky that we had the ball last in the texas game cause we couldn't stop their comeback . We're lucky we got all them turnovers or we would have lost a couple more games. One at byu for sure. I hope our defense improves this year or it's going to be a long year. If we can't stop kansas we're going to be in trouble in the sec

@@robertcapps365 no, you didn’t differentiate between halves, you just said TCU scored every possession… so I said something about halves. I don’t think you truly understand how much improved our defense was from the 22 season. Yeah, you can point to a game here or a game there where the defense didn’t hold up throughout the game, but by and large they were a stout defense. I have faith we finally have the depth required to hold it together. At one point last year we had Bowen, Bowman, Gentry, McCullough, Stutsman, all in hired among others. We could stomach that attrition last year, just didn’t have the guys ready. That’s not the case going into 2024, not only do we have the depth but several of our starters from last year are now rotational guys, meaning we will be improved for sure. McCullough, Kanak, Woodi, all got passed over by guys better than them even though they themselves. I mean, Kanak was good for 1-2 giant busts a game, I wouldn’t be surprised if he alone accounted for 1/3 of the total big plays allowed. Thank god we have 4-5 guys we can rotate through before having to go to him

Edge has been less than impressive. If no one steps up this year, we would have to look at Chavis. The talent is there, but it hasn't materialized in 2 years. Good recruiter,the development and play on the field is a lot to be desired.
