Floyd was the greatest defensive boxer in history, not the greatest in general. Meaning he was the smartest and most effective against a variety of great opponents. I don't see how Floyd could have beaten a Tommy Hearns at 147 as he was when he fought Ray Leonard. Mayweather would have showed great defensive skills but he would not have been able to knock out Hearns or out point him on the score cards. Muhammad Ali for example was not exceeded by anyone in greatness because he overcame obstacles that were incredible, like TKO'ing hammer fisted big George Foreman after smartly wearing him down and surviving murderous punches to the gut and head. His toughness and overall ability to overcome brutal onslaught and out score or KO a variety of opponents makes him greater than Mayweather in those ways. Floyd is ONE of the top greatest along side a few others in history. Floyd is not above Sugar Ray Leonard, who was so well rounded and defeated Hearns, Duran, and others that were incredible champions.

Manny pacquiao was up against a fighter who is a veteran of this sport. Floyd has great foot work, great hand speed, and extremely good accuracy. Floyd is a one of the greatest defense fighter's if not the greatest but with all this I would still love to see a Manny's Fight over floyd during their prime. But Manny you didn't give it all not like flyod does. You distracted yourself with acting in movies, singing, been a member of your government,etc flyod mayweather is ready everyday. That's why he won this fight. Manny you didn't believe in yourself that's why you lost. Great work flyod you a true hard/smart worker you deserve all what come's your way.
