Im a little late but I’m thinking of getting a fat brass block but i dont know if ill be able to dump my bar all the way down just because i feel like my cavity is small. Are you able to dump it no matter what size it is?

That is a valid point and concern. The big blocks are typically wider, to the rear, the side away from the springs. That is where the available 'real estate' typically is for the extra width of the big block. So if you're cavity is smaller, then the large block will run out of room, hitting up against the cavity wall, quicker than the regular sized block. However, It's been my experience that you can still get pretty close to 2 steps down, even with a big block, in a small cavity, which should be more than enough for most players, just short of completely dumping the strings slack. You can test it out and always go back, if it's not to your liking. Music Lily sells real solid brass big blocks on Amazon etc. for way cheaper than original Floyd Rose or FU Tone products, by the way. I say go for it!!

It's called the Trem Tool. They came out in the 80's. I believe there are still reissues available. www.amazon.com/Shredneck-SHREDNECK-TremTool-1/dp/B08PSM5LSZ/ref=pd_lpo_d_sccl_1/133-6309834-9947732?pd_rd_w=hDiDu&content-id=amzn1.sym.4c8c52db-06f8-4e42-8e56-912796f2ea6c&pf_rd_p=4c8c52db-06f8-4e42-8e56-912796f2ea6c&pf_rd_r=X7GHVCZG6Z4S6X8F8W30&pd_rd_wg=bm9Oi&pd_rd_r=62edd9aa-409f-46d2-8a04-0af8f84400e6&pd_rd_i=B08PSM5LSZ&psc=1

Careful what you call counterfeit. ProRockGear is NOT counterfeit, its licensed product. They are distributed by API International that also is the distributor for Floyd Rose in Canada, US etc. if it was counterfeit, Floyd would not be involved with them. Just an FYI.

In my opinion that is a distinction without a difference. A licensed product is not an OEM product, as exampled by 20+ years of licensed Floyd Rose trems. Perhaps counterfeit is too harsh a word to use in this case. Finally, though I didn’t mention it in the video; the ProRockGear piece is NOT “engineered to exacting specifications for retro fit on all Original Floyd Rose Tremelos”?! The spring holes, instead of being located to the front of the block, are drilled in the center of the big brass block and only carefully selected springs (less than 50%) will even fit this piece of licensed gear. In this case if you use real Floyd Rose authentic parts, you won’t have any issues. Thanks for pointing this out to me, I’ll put a note in the description. ✌️
