Top Tip: if you're just changing strings of the same gauge don't take them all off to begin with but change and tune them individually. That way your tremolo stays where it is.

I'm terrible about changing strings. I got an axe with a Floyd Rose Special one and a half years ago and just yesterday tried to change them, ended up wasting a pack of strings because I completely forgot to keep the balance. I loosened those screws in the back way too much and the springs had little to no pull once I was done, and the bridge was at a 45 degree angle to the body. If only I would've watched this video beforehand. Thanks a lot, Martin. :)

Thanks a million, I have the same guitar as this video and I could never keep it in tune. That spoon idea is brilliant, my spring tension was slightly too high so the trem didn't work properly, it looked in line but obviously wasn't. I used the spoon trick and it worked perfectly, I have just gone crazy on it and it stayed in tune! I have owned a floyd rose guitar for 5 years and never really used it... That is until now =D

Thanks for the ddemo. I just inherited a Fender Hearttfield with a Floyd Rose. The same principle with the spoon will also work while changing the strings on my strat. On the Floyd Rose, the larger flat-headed kobs are for fine tuning once the strings are locked at the nut. I try to make sure they are about 1/2 screwed in because when you tighten the locknuts at the nut position, this could raise the tuning so you need to lower the tuning with the fine tuning knobs and need enough thread.
